Visited the Manor Farm and stumbled upon the small museum in a building a bit off to the side of the main barns etc. Inside was a little on the history of the Manor Farm from Roman times to today, with some pretty interesting exhibits and interactive displays. There was also a guide you could talk to if you had any questions about the exhibit.

The new exhibition about illustrators of the Water Babies is fascinating. The pictures show the times in which each illustrator worked (there were several, in addition to Heath Robinson) and how styles changed over time. I particularly enjoyed Linley Sambourne whom I hadn't seen before. There are excerpts from the book which tell you what the picture was illustrating, which is really helpful. The volunteers on duty are super-friendly and knowledgeable, and you can buy a copy of the book.

A two hundred mile round trip in the day, and some awful travelling conditions were made so much easier by this superb venue. I understand it is a recently built stadium for Barnet Football Club, but the London Bees ladies club use it as well. We were there for the semi final of the Women's League Cup game between The Bees and our team Birmingham City Ladies FC. Being new, the stadium itself is state of the current art of build, and seating fine and the view is very good. Very impressed.
