This is a great place to visit when you have some time to space. This house dates back to the early 1500's and has been well preserved by the volunteers The Friends of Whitehall. The visit takes about an hour and there is also a lovely little tea room. It's an interactive museum and there are clothes from the Victorian period that can be tried on and other interesting facts to take in during your visit. Although there is wheelchair access to the shop area at the start of the museum, it would be very difficult to navigate the museum in a wheel chair because of the stars. However refurbishment in 2016 will include lift access to the different floors. It is free to visit though donations.

I try to visit evry few months, I have now become a friend of the museum it hosts interesting talks on local history, childrends talks and activities, I attended a cheese and wine tasting evening a few months ago. everyone is friendly. Parking is local either in the side road of the pay and display at Carshalton Park, or free in the side roads. The house dates from 1660~80. In 1864 William Hale Hawk, although the original house has been dated 17th century. There is something to interest everyone. Might be a bit difficult for some people lots of windy stairs. Worth a visit we must keep local places like this gem open for our children to learn local social history.
