This treatment has been very helpful, not least because I have had various investigations and treatments that have been much less successful! It's difficult to know which element, acupuncture or acupressure has had the most beneficial effect as the two are used in conjunction. However, perhaps that's academic as the outcome is positive. One of the things I have found helpful is the relaxing nature of the treatment, of the feeling of general well being that it instills.

I came to the Alternative to help me stop smoking. Since beginning the treatment I haven't craved to smoke at all. It has also helped with withdrawal symptoms. I have tried many different ways to stop smoking in the past, but this has been the most successful.

I highly recommend the alternative to everyone. I had muscles spasms in my lower back, I was struggling to sit, walk and couldn't pick anything up. After 2 sessions I was sorted. Worth every penny.

I went to see Helen after my partner and I were finding it difficult to conceive and after fertility investigations revealed 'unexplained infertility'. My weekly visits to Helen were only a positive experience. Not only was I reassured by her depth of knowledge and breadth of experience but her warmth and empathic ear helped me deal with all the emotional ups and downs of trying to get pregnant. I embraced both the acupuncture and herbal medicine prescribed by Helen and saw changes in my physical well being. I am now well into my second trimester and can't wait to introduce our little miracle to Helen. I can't thank her enough.

I've been seeing Helen for a little over a year now, and her treatment has been crucial in healing my Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. I'd been sick with CFS/ME on and off for around 6 years in total. Being treated by Helen has healed 90% of my symptoms, and I'm now not long off being completely recovered from CFS/ME and living a completely symptom-free life. Helen has completely given me my life back and I am forever grateful. There is hope for everyone with chronic ailments.

The acupuncture therapy i received was outstanding from Helen. Helen did not kust provide the treatment, but was a very compassionate, empathetic counsellor, who provided that emotional support. For someone who had moved to the North without much of a family or friends network, she was truly a great friend in the process. She is passionate about what she does and takes pride in her work. I would recommend her to anyone looking for treatment.

I started coming to Helen's clinic a couple of months ago to treat my enlarged thyroid with medicine and some acupuncture. I can say that I and others have visually noticed a significant reduction in the thyroid swelling. I also feel that I have a lot more energy and my immune system is a lot stronger. Helen is fantastic. Her passion and enthusiasm for her practice is infectious and comes through beautifully in the way she explains things. I have learnt a lot since coming to the clinic.
