Natalie and the team came to the rescue when another architect walked off our job 18 months in to our large renovation and extension. Our only regret is that we didn’t find HCA at the outset of our project. Their professionalism has been exemplary and despite picking up the job part completed they came at a time when we were able to make significant modifications to design and layout. Spaces that were previously problematic due to light restrictions or building regs restrictions were easily overcome with clever ideas and tweaks to our design. We were coupled with an architectural engineer called Mark, and without his support at every stage of our process we would have been lost. Not only navigating fire regulations and giving us solutions but also being incredibly helpful on things like bathroom and kitchen design. Nothing was ever too much trouble. Now we’re entering another phase of our project we’re using the team for planning application support. Whichever way that goes, we’re confident that we could not have done more. Natalie and her team are first class - she has been a literal shoulder to cry on but has also been our biggest support throughout. They champion building excellence but have consistently been bloody great people to work with. If we had to do it all again, we’d pick them first time, every time. Thanks Natalie & Mark.

Hewitt&Carr architects and services were able to design an accommodation scheme that fully suited our vision and also met the requirements needed for a successful planning application within the green belt. As a small family business we try to use similar independant local businesses and Hewitt&Carr were the perfect choice. From the initial meeting setting out our ideas to Hewitt&Carr sorting all the professional consultations required by the council the process was fully detailed and effortless. We have more plans for future development projects and will use Hewitt&Carr 100%. Would be happy to recommend to anyone.

Hewitt & Carr are clients so it made perfect sense for our MD to use their services when she wanted plans for a home extension. Natalie and her team were excellent from start to finish. They took time to truly understand the objectives of the extension and then produced plans to meet those and much more. Work has been delayed due to covid and a few needs have changed. Amendments were never an issue and the price was fair too. Would highly recommend.

We used WGY 5 years ago for a significant extension and modernisation project on our house, which significantly improved the layout, look and feel of the house, and well as upgrading thermal performance. Dave was great in managing the design and works quotation process, when we weren't necessarily the easiest clients!! 5 years on and we absolutely love the house and the changes we made. Now looking at an outside upgrade to the house and have gone back to Dave and the team at WGY to help us through it. Would highly recommend WGY to anyone looking to do something similar.

We worked with WGY to redesign, extend and develop our house. The fact our house appears on their website with our full hearted support shows how happy we were with their work. Right from first stage drawing through to final completion they stayed with the project despite the poor performance of our main contractor. David Cooper and Steve English provided a first class service - listening, providing advice and managing the project to the end. Many years later the after care service has been equally responsive!

I have used WGY over the last ten years on 5 residential developments and on two commercial conversion projects. Steve English, David Cooper and Ian Moore have been a pleasure to work with. They have great creative insight to design work and problem solving; their preparation work for enabling accurate quotations and passing building regulations has been first rate. They are responsive and helpful, but manage expectations carefully, especially over time frames. I would not hesitate to recommend them without reservation and will continue to work with them on future projects.
