Bradford Cathedral is a hidden treasure waiting to be discovered. Set in tranquil gardens, the Cathedral is Bradford’s most ancient place of worship, alive with peace, prayer, and a sense of story from its 13 centuries at the heart of the City. They are a place of Anglican worship – one of three Cathedrals in the Diocese of Leeds, alongside Ripon and Wakefield – holding weekly services and other unique and civic events throughout the Christian year. They partner with other organizations, venues, and faith groups in the City. Their clergy team is always to support all people in nurturing their faith, and they are available for baptisms, weddings, and more. The Cathedral runs a high-quality events program of choral and organ music, art exhibitions and installations, and talks and family activities. They also offer an exciting program for schools and colleges (holding the quality mark from the Council for Learning Outside the Classroom). They are a heritage venue with free entry for visitors.

BRADFORD CATHEDRAL REVIEWS
The stained glass is intriguing, and includes work by the Arts and Crafts Artist and Designer William Morris. Try and find his 'soft self-wounding pelican!' The organ deserves a mention. It's a multi-use instrument, equally capable of accompanying the choir as it is of being a concert organ. In fact it's attending a recent organ recital that inspired me to write this review! Above all, the cathedral gives the impression of being at the heart of the community. It may lack the 'wow' factor of some of our massive gothic cathedrals, but what it lacks in size, it amply makes up for in charm and history.
A friendly and warm cathedral, full of interest. Dating from the 15th Century it's been extended over the years, the latest major works being in the 1960s by the architect Maufe - famous for Guildford Cathedral.
Well worth a visit. The old and new complement each other. Wonderful wood/ stone/ glass work.sit down and take it in.

St Joseph's Catholic Church in Bradford enjoys a well-deserved reputation for its significance in the community. Originally established to cater to the religious needs of the people, the church began as a parish in 1868. However, as the local population grew rapidly, it was subsequently elevated to the status of a Catholic church. Located on Pakington Street, St. Joseph's Church achieved consecration fifty years later, on the same significant date, September 14th, 1937. The church has embraced students with a warm and welcoming approach, fostering a sense of blessing and belonging within the community. Furthermore, St Joseph's Catholic Church operates a primary school to serve the area's children. St Joseph's Catholic Church visitors have consistently praised the picturesque stained glass windows adorning the church building. The Parish Community has proactively responded to the evolving dynamics of their society, as evident in the diverse composition of today's congregation.
