Wesley Memorial Methodist Church is recognized as one of the most spiritually significant churches. Its establishment in 1889 is a tribute to the remarkable lives of John and Charles Wesley, born in 1703 and 1708 in Epworth. The Methodist Church houses the communion table from the eighteenth century, used by Samuel and John Wesley initially in the parish church. It also boasts numerous paintings and windows with strong Methodist connections. Visitors will discover a profound sense of serenity within this well-maintained building. Two portraits of the Wesleys grace the church's entrance, symbolizing the deep-rooted connection between the people of Epworth and the Wesley family, all united in their commitment to serving God within the community.

WESLEY MEMORIAL METHODIST CHURCH REVIEWS
Lydian choir I’m a member of did Bob Chilcott’s Song of Harvest here. Lovely church but with a surprisingly dry acoustic. Church is well equipped with kitchen; toilets, & a large meeting room. A well run establishment & friendly congregation top it all off!
Wesley Memorial Church "Epworth" as always been known as Wesley Memorial Chapel by Epworth locals.
Visited with a group of Methodist clergy & their spouses. Beautiful church full of history.

St Lawrence's Church is the oldest Scunthorpe Christian foundation. It is a welcoming church, which strives to be inclusive to all, and has a warm welcome to give. The oldest part of the Church is at least 600 years old, however, the Church was extended in the 19th and 20th centuries. The worship is often traditional-choir and organ led, but innovative and modern styles are often used too. There is a sound reinforcement system installed with radio microphones fixed and they also provide an induction loop to assist the hard of hearing. ST LAWRENCE'S CHURCH REVIEWS
Beautiful medieval church situated in the middle of town. Very picturesque. The funeral service was very respectful and beautifully carried out although the organist did keep hitting bum notes! This didn't detract from my experience however as I was there for a funeral and not an organ recital!
Pictutesque church sited near scunthorpe town centre, very populer venue for weddings as it has nice gardens and church fairs are held here too.
Lovely church and priest. For my sons wedding. People from the church very nice.

Their services adhere to tradition and encompass Holy Communion in contemporary language, morning worship, and occasional family services, all featuring hymns, songs, and thought-provoking sermons. The church boasts a dedicated team of bell ringers who regularly practice on Tuesday evenings, ensuring the harmonious chime of their six bells. The clergy and parishioners were very friendly and welcoming. I attended a beer festival there at the end of September which was excellent and well worth looking out for especially if you like drinking un unusual places!
