“St. Peter ad Vincula provides traditional services, including Holy Communion in contemporary language, morning worship, and occasional family services. The congregation is warm and welcoming. The bell-ringers regularly practice on Tuesday evenings with the six bells. There is also a Holy Communion (Common Worship) service every Wednesday at 10 am. As part of the Church of England, the church provides spiritual and pastoral support for those living in the parish. The parish of Bottesford, Ashby, and Riddings is located on the southern edge of Scunthorpe.

“2025 Update: St. Lawrence’s Church strives to be friendly and inclusive. They offer a warm welcome to all. Revd. Canon Philip Brent is the Vicar. The church was supposedly dedicated to St Mary until 1392, when it was appropriated to Revesby Abbey. The oak pews of the old church were installed in 1886 and were preserved in 1913. The tower is early 13th century, in spite of the fact that the top was rebuilt after the ‘steeple' fell in 1602. St. Lawrence’s Church has three bells. The church is wheelchair accessible. The main body of the church seats 355 people. They also have 30 movable chairs in the Healey Chapel and an additional 36 seats for clergy and choir.”

A beautiful church where one can relax and pray in a serene atmosphere. I enjoyed Mass and found the homily very interesting. I felt recharged and intend to visit again soon.

What a beautiful place to have your wedding and we had fantastic choir behind us so we all sounded good and the stained glass windows are fantastic.

Nice calm church in the middle of town and a lovely priest.

The clergy and parishioners were very friendly and welcoming. I attended a beer festival there at the end of September which was excellent and well worth looking out for especially if you like drinking un unusual places! Very popular for wedding ceremonies which is understandable as it is extremely picturesque and the grounds are also beautiful.

Beautiful church and very pleasant ceremony. Toilets located a short walk from the church at the vicarage was clean and tidy.

Lovely place to have a baptism for my parents great nephew

A beautiful Church both inside and out, I attended a morning service here for the first time last Sunday (19th of January ) and everyone was very friendly and welcoming, I'm looking forward to going again this Sunday.

Pictutesque church sited near scunthorpe town centre, very populer venue for weddings as it has nice gardens and church fairs are held here too.
