Having been a part of Platinum Dance Academy since day 1, I can highly recommend it! So much hard work has gone into the Dance School over the years and an incredible number of students now attend. They offer such a fabulous range of classes to suit both children and adults. They also offer extra events such as workshops, dance days and summer camps. Fantastic shows every year and have great competition success also. The teaching team are all experts in their styles that they teach and pricing of classes & events are very affordable. The studio is like a home from home and the owner of Platinum is the most approachable lady you will ever meet.

My daughter has been with Platinum Dance Academy since it started and has always enjoyed the classes. She’s now at dance uni after having competed at various dance comps with platinum over the years including the world dance championships. Youngest daughter has now been at platinum for a few years and loves it too. Lorna the owner, is the loveliest person, always putting on events for the children and fun days. There are so many classes to choose from and very reasonable rates. It feels like a dance family rather than just classes. Classes aren’t just for children either, there are lots of classes for adults too.

My daughter has grown up with Platinum Dance. It was the first place she felt safe being left and she looks forward to her classes every week. Lorna is the most amazing teacher and puts so much into every class. I would recommend Platinum Dance to anyone. So many amazing opportunities for kids to shine.

I couldn’t have asked for a better foundation for my professional dance career than training at Hazelwood. The emphasis on technique coupled with the opportunity to perform regularly developed a sense of artistry from a young age. Also, having the chance to create my own work has helped me gain employment as a choreographer. Hazelwood has a caring and professional environment that I would recommend for any budding dancer.

Our son watched his sisters dance at Hazelwood and decided he wanted to get involved too, so began tap classes a few years ago. He loves it! He has never felt intimidated by being in the minority being a boy, and the girls in his class have made him most welcome! He liked tap so much he has now added Modern and Ballet to his repertoire! Dance is most definitely a family affair.

Our daughter has been dancing at Hazelwood since the age of 4, studying Ballet, Tap and Modern dance, and has regularly passed examinations gaining strong grades in all 3 disciplines. She has competed in dance festivals since the age of 7 and has amassed a number of trophies, certificates and medals as a result. Her time at Hazelwood has given her poise, independence and confidence and great friendship together with a sense of belonging. As a result, she has developed such a love of dance that she wishes to pursue this as a career. She has had a lot of fun over the years and now regards Hazelwood as her second home!.
