Every other chippy owner needs to visit here and see where your all going wrong.........still the best.....not by much but by a country mile. Properly cooked batter that doesn't leave you feeling like you need to lie down for 3 hours after eating . Never ever had a bad fish and chips from here and that can't be said of others .

On holiday in Yorkshire, went & got 3 portions of Gluten free Fish & Chips last night. One of nicest ever had... batter so light & everything about them very enjoyable. Only wish you were a lot closer to our home. Thank you.

I have now lived in Shropshire for nearly 40 years but hardly eat Fish and Chips. However, when visiting my hometown of Brighouse I always make a beeline to Blakeleys for Haddock and Chips. Excellent quality, piping hot and they taste good too. Highly recommended.

Always enjoy good fish and chips from The Golden Hind. The staff are hardworking and friendly. There is a good menu choice inc soup of the day, the potato swizzler, pies, burgers, a selection of cakes and more. You can preorder takeaway.

Had a great fish and chips lunch with my 80 year old mother who is disabled. Staff could not be more helpful moving tables to allow her access and providing the ramp to access the restaurant. Food was really good and it has a nice atmosphere. Totally recommended

Such a lovely experience. Gorgeous decor and ambience. Wonderful service. Exquisite fish, chips and mushy peas. Couldn’t fit one of their tempting sponge puddings with custard, cream or ice cream in, so I’ll be making sure I’m even hungrier when I go again this week.

Had fish & chips here whilst staying in Hebden Bridge. I had seen the mixed reviews and so I was dubious but they were some of the nicest fish and chips I have ever had. The chips were crisp on the outside but lovely and soft on the inside and the piece of fish I had was a good fillet of fish that broke off into thick flakes - better than I get near home. I would visit Crown Fisheries again and would recommend it to others.

The fish and chips were superb!!! First time I’ve visited here and I could smell the chips two streets away! I can tell you now the fish was one of the best I’ve ever had, white, thick, tasty and the batter was superbly crispy and tasty! I even went back within an hour to purchase a second portion for my husband! We really enjoyed the food! I want to go again and try their special of king size fish and chips which costs just over £10! That would be ample for us two pensioners and my 5 yr old granddaughter, therefore a very good value meal that is so tasty that we would all enjoy.

First time visit to this chippy and we were not disappointed. Fantastic fish and chips, also had some scraps and loved it! We have been to a lot of chippys and this place is well worth visiting, highly recommended.
