Full of praise for the partnership of Claire and Liam at HEM. A retro-fit to create a 2024 green home from a 1968 build is not an easy task. However, over the course of a year Claire and Liam helped us redesign the house, both internally and externally, to suit our needs, to match our aesthetic preferences and help, in the only way we can, to save the planet. After an initial face to face visit on site, Zoom meetings were efficiently and professionally led by Claire whose knowledge of materials and construction options is outstanding. Liam followed up the decisions with the most detailed, accurate and many versions of drawings we have ever studied. Over the second year, as the house was gutted and rebuilt Claire continued to be promptly attentive to its development, both when on site with the builder, when resolving complications and also when answering our regular questions. We know that Liam feels rewarded seeing his 2D plans finally and beautifully constructed into a 3D dream home and we hope that Claire is as delighted as we are with the outcome when she visits later in the year. It has been a long journey, shared with experts in their field. Thank you, HEM.

We were very pleased with the service, Alan's initial consultation helped us consolidate ideas and achieve everything we'd hoped for. The final design felt collaborative. We were grateful for Alan's prompt response to some problems we had during the build.

Working with HEM has been a pleasure. Excellent at what they do and really nice people. Although it can be tempting to save on the design or go for a cheaper alternative, I have learnt that good design is well worth it and results in a superior end product.

Brilliant service from Jonathan, he understood what we wanted from the off. The process of working with him was easy and he really considered the way we wanted to live in our home. We found him to be very invested in the successful outcome of the build and he takes immense pride in his designs. Thanks to Jonathan we now absolutely love our home, we have a double storey side extension and open plan living that is full of light and just a pleasure to be in. It turned out better than we could have imagined. He takes your ideas and turns them into something amazing.

We spent a long time researching which architect to use for our extension project. We are really happy that we decided on Brightman Clarke. From start to finish they did a fantastic job. The design that Chris and Taylor produced not only hit the mark, it far exceeded what we thought was going to be possible. The service they provided throughout the whole process: the design, the planning application, and then guiding us through the build was friendly, reassuring and professional. They were always patient and quick to respond to our numerous questions along the way. We are delighted with the end result, and we would highly recommend Brightman Clarke to anyone considering an extension.

We chose Brightman Clarke to help design a renovation and extension. We worked with Jonathan throughout and he has been brilliant. Not just a great architect, but also a lovely guy. We already had some ideas and were working with a designer, Brightman Clarke was one of the architects she recommended. They worked seamlessly together to deliver what we wanted, which was great as they could speak a language to each other about the project that we didn't understand and probably avoided a lot of miscommunication! We started the planning before Covid, after Covid, Jonathan and Rachel worked with us to make a number of adaptations to the original plan. We've been really please with everything they have done for us. Jonathan was professional throughout but also added a personal touch by following up to see how we were getting on with some issues we were having around the build (not related to anyone who was working with us). We would work with Brightman Clarke again without hesitation.
