This is a review for James Taylor of JETArch design . In mid 2022 I made contact with James to explore some options for a piece of land I jointly owned. It was decided that a full planning application would be the way forward. During the course of planning James managed the whole process faultlessly keeping me informed all along with so many surveys and actions required and the costs. James had access to many survey contractors and advised on each one. If I needed to contact James with questions this was never a problem and he completed the design of two detached houses which passed the planning process and was approved at the first time of asking as all requirements that the council had asked for were met. I have no hesitation in awarding James a FIVE Star review and would recommend him to anyone thinking of building or developing a property. Our project required innovation, vision and technical ability - the key ingredients to turn ‘potential’ into a beautiful, well designed home. James and his team worked wonders with our property, using all their expertise to design a house that works for the whole family. James also provided the creativity needed to bring in unique features too which has given our property personality and an identity. James’s attention to detail is staggering and our builders have often said the technical drawings are the best they’ve ever seen! We would recommend James in a heartbeat. James included us right from the start of the drawing and planning process. We found him to be extremely knowledgeable with a great attention to detail. This enabled us to visualize the end result more clearly. He was always open to changes and would challenge our thoughts respectfully if required. He proved invaluable in supporting our building process from start to finish, liaising with the local council, the builders and structural engineers. Engaged Jon for a single story rear extension who provided design ideas, compliance expertise and produced drawings as required by my builder and the local building control folks. Throughout the engagement, I found Jon very easy to work with; he adopted a consultative approach and was very flexible and pragmatic. A fairly straight forward project which certainly didn't stretch Jon's expertise, but I'd be happy to recommend him based on my experience of briefly working with him on my project.

I have worked with Jon on numerous residential projects in the Thames Valley area, from house extensions to new build development. Jon has a great eye for detail and produces really useful 3D visual images to help picture the proposed development.

Jon was exactly what we needed when planning our conversion/renovation/extension project. He listened carefully to us as we described what we needed from the project, what outcomes we hoped for and the styling we wanted to achieve. He was able to present us with options and helped us to visualise clearly what the end result would be. Importantly, he didn't try to impose a 'vision' on us but, at the same time, gave us plenty of ideas that we hadn't considered.
