Called in on the off chance as was only passing by but so glad I did. The portion size was huge and the food quality was fabulous. The staff were really pleasant and up for a laugh. The long queue was handled with speed and the atmosphere in the takeaway was jovial with everyone laughing at the chap doing the frying (may of been the boss) as his singing was hillarious. I have saved this place on my favorites list as my job often takes me that way and this is deffo one of the best fish and chips in the UK.

Cracking fish and chips at very reasonable prices and you get a very good portion. So much so, that we had some for lunch the next day. Thoroughly enjoyed and recommend.

A return visit after a couple of years away from the Lakes and the fish and chips were just as good as the first time. We had the regular fish and chips at just under a tenner each and the portion size was spot on. Not too big and not too small. Both were cooked as we waited which was absolutely fine as the view of the lake at sunset is pretty much perfect to look at. We were given a little alarm that beeped when our food was ready, which I think is a great idea and not one I've ever seen before. Staff were very friendly and cheerful and a credit to the shop. Will be definitely returning again.

Oh my! What a wonderful chippy this is! Ordered on a whim through their website for delivery and is one of the best chippys I've ever experienced. They deliver themselves and not through the usual sites which is a blessing. Delivery driver was friendly and delivered to an address some find difficult to find without any issues. The order arrived approx 20mins ahead of their estimation which was great, by over estimating it makes the experience so much better The food....oooff chips... perfect chippy chips with the right level of salt & vinegar and rightly the star of the show.. The chicken kebab great flavour (only slight issue I'd have is with the small amount of garlic mayo when requesting sauce but that's being picky). The batter on their products is ridiculous in its lightness and taste. Chip shop curry sauce is literally the best I've ever tasted and the mushy peas just hit the mark perfectly! I used to think there was an easy winner for best chippy in Worcester but Donellys have just made a run at the title. Amazing food, perfect delivery service and great value for money - which is tantamount in these times. Will definitely be ordering again! Thank you for exceptional food and great service.

Surpassed my expectations! The fish was battered to perfection, Chips delicious, MUST TRY THE IRISH CURRY! The service is outstanding, welcoming, helpful, and warm. It’s cash only on site but you can order online and pay by card. We ate at the shop, it’s clean and comfortable.

Just had fish chips & curry, absolutely beautiful. Hubby had chicken mush pie & chips, said amazing. Always had good amazing service from her. Cash only though so don't go without paper notes. Definitely recommend this place.

Really nice fish and chips, excellent service, friendly staff and cosy environment. I went yesterday with my kids and we all had a great time at Mother Hubbard’s. We ordered Jumbo fish and chips, spicy chicken sandwich and spicy fish sandwich, all of which were super tasty. Moreover the size and quality of fish for the price is amazing. It was super crispy and fresh. Definitely we will visit again.

Really nice fish and chips, quick service, really friendly service. The size and quality of fish for the price was excellent and it was cooked perfectly in crispy not greasy batter. The meal deal came with curry sauce and acoke for just over £10. REALLY GOOD.

Absolutely hands down the best fish and chips for miles. The size of the fish was incredible, perfectly cooked, amazing batter, flaking and meaty. Beautiful curry sauce and a very polite and courteous delivery driver who followed my instructions to an absolute tee. Honestly do not miss a chance to order from here you will 1000% love it. Happy eating.
