Would like to give a massive massive Thankyou to Barry, Chris and all the staff at Hammertons Goldthorpe for their friendly, caring & compassionate service they gave us when my dad passed away on the 30/6/24. They couldn’t do enough for us at what was an extremely emotional time, With there professional expertise nothing was too much trouble for them. For me you went above and beyond what was expected. Thankyou so much Would definitely recommend them in your hour of need.

Craig Shepherd was a fantastic support to my Mum and I when making funeral arrangements for my Stepdad. The discussion about services was relaxed, everything was completed in a timely manner and presented to a high standard. Craig and the team lightened the load at a very difficult time, allowing family and friends to focus on saying their final goodbyes.

We were extremely happy with the service we received, Craig was kind and compassionate, as were all the staff we encountered. Made every step of a difficult time that little bit easier to deal with. We felt comfort knowing that Mum was in safe hands and well looked after.

Tailor made funeral to our requirements, which was very helpful. Fantastic that we could hold the ceremony there, without the need for cars etc and travelling to Ardsley. Meant it was much more intimate and more straightforward for elderly relatives. Great that the Catholic Priest was able to come there too, which is what my Mum would've wanted. Phillip was very professional at all times. Highly recommend.

We can not thank them enough very professional helpful, respectful everyone was great they did everything even the flowers and we cremated and got my dad rested in the cemetery within the week thank you so much from Mr Victor Hilton’s family.

Excellent funeral directors, brilliant communication from start to finish. Compassionate and very professional. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them. Brilliant price too. Stress free which was very welcome at a very difficult time. Absolutely 5 star company.

I would like to thank everyone at Wombwell funeral services for the dignity and professional way my husband John was looked by Dawn and the rest of the team who all went above and beyond to look after and care for him while in their care. In the week leading up to his funeral they made it possible for me to be able to spend anything from an hour to 4 hours sitting spending quality time with him before his funeral services which was amazing and Dawn helped me to be able to give John the send off with a detour to oakwell to his beloved REDS football ground before a wonderful send off. The service we as a family have received has been exceptional so much so that I took out a funeral plan 10 months ago with Co op and I am going to cancel it to take one out with Wombwell Funeral Services as well as my daughter and son. I would highly recommend that anyone in need of this service will not get better service or support from anywhere else.

We were extremely satisfied. Nothing was too much trouble. Dawn made sure that everything was taken care of in a professional and caring manner which allowed us to give Dad a great send off. Dawn was absolutely fantastic. She was kind, compassionate and diligent in everything she did for us.
