I have worked for independent people for 3yrs now and I love my job. To be honest, there were areas that needed working on when I first joined but they are reaching the goals now and it’s brilliant. Lots of support from the office and management team as well as meeting some amazing people. I am also aware that not everyone knows about live in carers which is sad to hear. I’m probably classed as a “mature” carer due to my age, and although I’ve worked in different rolls of care for the past 13 years, I have to say my current roll is my favourite.

I have worked for independent people Homecare for 2 and half years. Before joining the lovely team at Independent people, I had never worked in the care industry before. The support I received from everyone was fantastic. I love my job, and enjoy my visits to see our lovely customers. I have recently become a senior carer, which means I am able to go out and visit people more, which I’m so pleased with. Our Manager Sue and Our Senior Carer Denise are both lovely to work with, and are both very supportive, and always happy to help. I’m very grateful for the opportunities that have been given to me. And look forward to many years working for independent people.

We have received an excellent service from My Homecare Chelmsford. Mum has been visited by great, kind and compassionate carers who have done more than required to help meet her needs. The management has also been brilliant, quick to respond and adapt the care as Mum's needs have changed.

Two lovely ladies take it in turns to come once a week to wash and cream my legs. They do the job well and are very helpful. They don't rush the job. We have a lovely chat. Very happy with the way things are.
