“Mount Gurkha aims to develop its service and quality to give its customers the best experience. Chef Mr Raju Kandel has over 20 years of experience as a chef worldwide, including in India, Bayern Munich, Burgerhouse, and Germany. Their Chana Masala is the perfect side dish for poori, which consists of chickpeas cooked in a spicy sauce and garnished with coriander. Mixed Karahi is prepared in an Indian wok with a generous amount of red wine, onions, capsicum, ginger, fresh coriander, and tomato, resulting in a richly flavoured dish with a strong tradition. Try their Chicken and Sweetcorn Soup, Chhuela Puri, Jeera Chicken Wings, and Chicken Bhutuwa. You can finish your feast with their dessert, Matka Kulfi, made with saffron sauce and served in a ceramic bowl decorated with pistachios and almonds. The restaurant also offers dine-in and takeaway.

Really enjoyed the food. Service was spot on. Had a friend with us who never had a curry out before and the staff really looked after him and made sure he would be happy with his choice. I had tandoori prawn stater 10/10 then Chicken Naga. Nice and hot but still so tasty. Would recommend based on our visit. We had a table for 15 and all were impressed.

The food was absolutely delicious and tasted so fresh. Great variety of dishes and the staff was so kind and attentive. Would definitely come again and recommend it to anyone looking for some tasty Indian food :)

Booked a meal as part of out trip to Loughborough. The food was amazing and we ad totake the leftovers away to eat later. Staff very attentive. Many takeaways going out of the door, probably due to the England QF on later that evening. Very reasonably priced. Book a table and go.

MOUNT GURKHA REVIEWS

Hands down they make the best momos, its so juicy and flavourful I had to order twice. The rest of the food was equally tasty. They made us feel so welcomed and comfortable. Checked up on us every now and then. Amazing service and the food was 10/10, will definitely come again.

From the moment they opened the door for us, we were well looked after at Mount Gurkha. As always! It's my favourite place to go for a good curry, and I've recommended it to many others who now also love it. Delicious food, cold Cobra, reasonable prices, great service from all of the friendly staff.

One of the best places in town for a good meal. The food is as good as the service, and discovering new flavors of new dishes is worth any price.

We had the most amazing delivery from Salim’s. This is restaurant quality delivered to your door. The quality of the food is evident in every mouthful. If you want a treat at home, don’t hesitate to order. This is the second time we have ordered and the quality is consistent. This is incomparable to other Indian takeaways. The food arrived early but we just kept it warm in a low oven and ate piping hot and tasty food at our leisure. Thank you Salims. This was a super birthday treat!

We’ve eaten at Salim’s many times and always loved the food. Last night we had a takeaway for the first time and it was just as good. The portions were so generous there was enough for lunch today too! Brilliant place.

We visit Salim's only four or five times a year but always get a great reception. The staff are welcoming, friendly, professional and efficient. The food is exceptional ( probably the best Indian food in the region in my opinion) The decor is modern and there is always a good atmosphere. Highly recommended.
