Had an amazing meal! Welcome and service were both excellent - the chef actually chatted to us. We had two starters - both were well cooked and delicious. We then had the stew (mild) and the beef curry (hot). The curry was just phenomenal; I was still talking about it says later! Highly recommend eating here. We just happened upon it when we tried to eat elsewhere and they had no tables - so glad!!

We had dinner at this amazing restaurant and safe to say it was the nicest experience we have ever had. From the moment we stepped in the owner/manager greeted us very pleasantly. We began with Indian tea which was authentic and reminded us of back home. The food was also very tasty! We were in mood for some indo-Chinese cuisine and it was amazing! They serve halal chicken and beef which is cooked separately in the kitchen from other items. We had a great time here. Would definitely recommend to friends and family!

Just had an amazing meal at Salt and Pepper in Merthyr Tydfil! The food is absolutely delicious — full of flavour, freshly made, and served hot. Every bite was a treat! The staff are really friendly and welcoming, and the service is fast and professional. The atmosphere is warm and relaxed — perfect for a casual lunch or dinner. Highly recommended if you're in the area. I’ll definitely be coming back! Briyani is best. .

The food here is delicious, hats off to the chef, the meat was perfectly cooked and nice and tender and the sauce was incredibly tasty. The only criticism is that the restaurant was cold and it took nearly an hour for the food to come to the table and we were the only customers in the building, the lady who took payment from us after the meal seemed to be in a mood and wasn’t very friendly either, seemed to scoff that we were paying by card . Small things like that can easily put people off guys. Overall though you are delivering top quality food, I’m a satisfied customer.

If you're looking for attentive service then this is the place for you. Everyone couldn't do enough for us and were checking that we had absolutely everything! Everything we had was just spot on, I even felt comfortable to push the boat out and try something new which is not like me! Thank you for making us feel so comfortable and creating an amazing dining experience. Best in Merthyr!

This place has the best curry and the water features add to the greatness of the restaurant. Please come here because I wouldn't like to hear that this place goes. It's just sooooo good.

I recently dined at Taj, located at 20-22 Pontmoriais West, Merthyr Tydfil, and it was a truly exceptional experience. From the moment we walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere set the tone for the evening. The menu offers a fantastic variety of authentic Indian dishes, and everything we tried was bursting with flavor. The butter chicken was particularly outstanding, with tender pieces of chicken in a rich, creamy sauce. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring we had a wonderful dining experience. I highly recommend Taj to anyone looking to enjoy authentic Indian cuisine.

Took my family for a meal here there were ten of us in total including two infants under two, We took advantage of their banquet offer which represents excellent value and much better than the old buffet system as dishes arrive plated and freshly cooked to order, food was hot tasty and portions were sensibly sized, The staff were attentive without being intrusive and the overall dining experience was informal but very pleasant. The banquet nights represent very good value and an opportunity to sample a variety of dishes. Highly recommended will be returning again soon.

The staff is always welcoming, and the service is quick, whether you're dining in or ordering for takeaway. It’s my go-to spot for Indian food in Merthyr Tydfil, and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves great Indian cuisine!
