We have been with Complete IT just over a year now. I have little experience of other companies offering IT support and security and tend to think the monthly cost is high for a small charity like ourselves. That said the support is excellent, they are always at the end of the phone and quick to resolve any issues we encounter.

We've been working with CIT for a few months now and they have always been really helpful when I have contacted them. Gemma in particular is always really quick to respond and has managed to resolve my issues with no delays!

I worked for an IT company in Stockport for 18 months as a first‑line support engineer on a four‑person team. My day‑to‑day role was answering incoming support calls, diagnosing issues, and either resolving them or escalating appropriately. For the majority of my time there I handled continuous back‑to‑back calls: I would take a call, put the phone down, and immediately take another, often with no time to complete follow‑ups or document incidents properly. This pattern was relentless and unsustainable and made it difficult to provide the level of service I expected to deliver. One colleague routinely told clients over the phone that he could not fix their issue and then ended the call, forcing clients to call back. That behaviour created repeat contacts, frustrated clients, and materially increased the team’s call volume. Management appeared to accept or excuse this conduct, which repeatedly shifted work onto others and normalised poor customer handling. In private conversations with four separate contacts from different client organisations, each independently expressed dissatisfaction with the company’s approach to support and workload management. These independent accounts reinforced my view that the problems I experienced were not isolated to my role. I made clear that I wanted to build stronger relationships with the companies we supported and volunteered for site visits to help with that. That intention was misinterpreted, and I was routinely sent on almost every site visit, which further reduced my time for support calls and increased pressure on the rest of the team. I raised concerns informally on multiple occasions and suggested practical changes, but I saw no meaningful response. Two days after requesting time off to attend job interviews, I was dismissed by the managing director. Because I had been employed for only 18 months, my union advised me I could not pursue an unfair dismissal claim. I felt the company pushed me out rather than supporting a fair and transparent process. The cumulative effect of these issues harmed my wellbeing: I experienced increased stress, loss of confidence, and difficulty sleeping. Through counselling I have been working on recovery, and since leaving I have secured a role where my skills are recognised, earned a promotion, and rebuilt my professional confidence.
