“Balance Mixed Martial Arts started with small Group sessions, one-on-ones in MMA, and strength and conditioning at Jon's garage gym. Jon is the coach of Balance Mixed Martial Arts. Jon started training in martial arts at age 14, like most people, initially with Karate, expanding his love of martial arts by training in Jiu-Jitsu, wrestling, boxing, Thai boxing, as well as strength and conditioning, which he has continued for the last 30 years. Over that time, Jon has competed in Jiu-Jitsu, wrestling and MMA competitions, winning the British Championships in 2015. Today, the gym has five coaches as well as Jon and has had students train and compete on MMA, K-1 and Thai boxing shows. With nearly 100 students across the mini, teen, and adult classes, the gym has developed considerably in the 3 years it has been open and is going from strength to strength.”
