“Wallace Park is a well-maintained public park ideal for families, with an excellent children's play area and various gentle walks. The park has a contemporary soccer pavilion and floodlit tennis courts. The park has numerous spots, each with a picnic table and barbecue pit. Wallace Park provides a green oasis in an otherwise urban landscape and is often busy with visiting dog walkers, families, cyclists, and workers on a lunchtime stroll. The many mature trees around the park have many cracks and crevices in the bark for small birds to nest and bats to roost. The large grassland areas are managed for leisure activities, while also providing a habitat for worms, caterpillars, and other invertebrates that many of the park's resident birds rely on for food.
