Gorgeous country park. Nice walks and wildlife. Relaxing place with a cafe there too. Various walks can be done, either small or long leading off in various directions depending on your time you have to spend there.
What a lovely park this was! Great for an evening stroll or a run. A walk along the river is very relaxing in the evening with the sunset. Park is even more beautiful in the summer as there’s flowers blooming from everywhere. Must do if you are in the area.

VERNON PARK REVIEWS
A beautiful park to visit with family, pet or even if by oneself for a nice walk. The park is very tranquil and has a few steep inclines so could for jogging or walking for fitness. The pathway to river is blocked off for safety reasons and is a shame as this would be ideal to view. There is a museum and also a cafe within the park as well as a bowling green. All in all a great park to visit.
This park is one of the most beautiful in Stockport and is perfect for dog walking, family days out and you will often find people exercising in the park and with such a luscious backdrop who can blame them.
Spent a pleasant hour wandering through the park whilst waiting for a friend who had gone for a run. Classic Victorian/Edwardian layout and full of interesting features, trees and plants. Not to be missed!
