“Professor Ajay Mahajan completed his MBBS at Andhra University, India, and his Master of Medical Science in Plastic Surgery at the National University of Ireland. He was also awarded a research fellowship at the University Hospitals of Geneva, Switzerland. He is a member of the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, the European Association of Plastic Surgeons, the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, and the UK Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons. Professor Mahajan holds the Chair of Plastic Surgery at the University of Bradford and is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at Bradford Teaching Hospitals. He has a special interest in cosmetic breast surgery and ‘mummy makeovers’. With extensive experience in aesthetic surgery, he has helped transform many lives through improvements in physical appearance. Believing in “beauty through science,” he leads the world-renowned Plastic Surgery and Burns Research Unit as its Director of Research in Bradford.
