Lisburn Central Primary School is a public elementary school for children between the ages of five and fourteen. The current staffing for the primary sector of the school is a Principal and ten classroom teachers, providing an average class size of approximately 22 pupils. Lisburn Central Primary School also has a nursery teacher and assistant as well as six classroom assistants providing for Primary 1 and 2 and children with SEN. The school offers a broadly based and relevant curriculum, and they allow all pupils to reach their full potential in the academic and creative subjects and physical and social skills. They offer Extracurricular and Breakfast clubs.

Knockmore Primary School provides care and a secure environment for the children. They have dedicated and highly qualified staffs. The school has six classes in years 1-7, four Speech and Language classes and three Social Communication classes. All classrooms at the nursery were furnished with interactive whiteboards to help teaching and learning, and all pupils have access to computers, laptops and iPads. They have kitchen facilities to provide school meals, two large outside playgrounds and a large grass area, adventure playground and two outdoor classrooms. They have developed a wildlife area with bug hotels, polytunnel and bird boxes.
