Lower Kersal Community Primary School has been in Salford for over 80 years, and many of the parents and grandparents of today's students also studied here. There are now 264 children on roll. The Standard Admission Number for all classes is 30 children. The school has a 26-place nursery department housed within the primary school. Amongst the numerous awards they have won over the years, Lower Kersal Community School has been the winner of three Quality Marks, a Leading Parent Partnership Award, and has been awarded two Green Flags for its Eco work. All pupils in reception, year one and year 2 in their school are offering a free school meal.
