“2025 Update: Mathmagician provides private maths tuition for students up to GCSE foundation level. Sam studied Maths at the University of Reading as part of her BEd degree (Primary). She is a qualified and experienced British Maths teacher (KS2-4), a specialist in the psychology of learning maths. She has over 30 years of teaching experience and has students in both Kuwait and Oman, as well as across the UK. She is now taking on online students, as it allows her to reach students all over the world without geographical restrictions. She is also happy to answer questions and offer advice, even if she is not tutoring a student. Sam sees Mathematics as a puzzle to be solved or an inspiring challenge to overcome, and she has learned not to give up. Helen is brilliant in everything she does down to her teaching, techniques, resources, friendliness and nurturing. Our daughter has learnt so much in a relatively short period of time, Helen explains and teaches in away like no other, our daughter has a lot of homework but hasn't moaned about doing it, her confidence and ability has grown a great deal. We highly recommend Helen if you are looking to boost your childs learning, not just 11+ but other years where they have fallen behind. Helen's kindness and positivity just shines through and how she makes maths just make sense is just brilliant....cannot recommend Helen enough and thank you.

Well done Helen!!!! It’s your hard work, dedication and fun ways of learning which have helped them on their ways. On that note I am thinking of Mum tutoring to enable me to keep up.

Emily put me in touch with a fantastic tutor, my 6 year old really enjoys her lessons and Susanna sends us all the useful resources we need, Susanna has assessed the level me daughter was on and continued with her learning at the right pace, she is very patient and personable, it has been a lockdown lifesaver! highly recommend.

I would like to thank Home School Tutoring and in particular recommend our tutor David for excellent tuition over the last 2 years leading up to GCSE maths this month. Not only did our daughters maths improve technically but more importantly she gained confidence and a 'can do' ability to tackle maths problems and exams . Many thanks.

My daughter has been having maths tuition since October last year. Both her school teacher and I thought she would benefit from some extra help. Her maths tutor, Ian, has been wonderful with her and they got along immediately. Her confidence in maths is coming along great. She looks forward to each lesson which is now being carried out via zoom. I am beyond happy that I came across Emily's tuition web page and so happy that my daughter is beginning to enjoy maths.

My son was diagnosed with Dyslexia and was falling behind in Maths but after meeting with Sam he has grown in confidence and ability to the point that he loves the subject and can't wait to have his lesson with her. She really tailors each session to the child's particular needs so that they feel relaxed and happy in their session. We would thoroughly recommend the Mathmagician.

Sam helped my daughter hugely with yr 4 maths, increasing her knowledge, confidence and progression hugely. She is now on track and gained star of the week for her improvement in maths. Thank you.
