Went for the first time today with the wife, did not know what to expect as we only saw this online, was very pleasantly surprised. Was greeted by a very polite lady who showed us to our table. As for the food OMG it was delicious, I had the crispy chicken and my wife had the large fish and chips (2 pieces of fish) the portions were that big my wife gave me half of hers. The food tasted absolutely fantastic. Will definitely be coming back.

One of the best carvery's around. All of the vegetables were fresh, and none were overcooked. The meat was tender and not dried out. A very good selection of potatoes and vegetables to choose from and the roast potatoes were perfect .Even the gravy was just right. Plenty of sauces to choose from, too. A really delicious and tasty roast meal. No wonder the place was busy. Have to say a big well done to the chef and the people in the kitchen who definitely know how to do a good carvery And of course, the floor staff, who were very polite and full of smiles.

The Best carvery ever. Went on a Sunday. The smell of roast dinner cooking was enough to entice me. This is a very popular carvery so quite a queue but moved fast. Food was exquisite. So much choice. I had some of everything. Loved it. Would be wise to book for a Sunday but this fabulous carvery is on every day. 10/10 for the chef staff and atmosphere.

Popped here while staying at premier inn up the road. Great looking building. Lovely interior. Staff friendly & pleasant. Drinks reasonably priced. Good outdoor area. Definitely nipping here again when back in the area.

Had a lovely meal here. The pub has a good atmosphere not too busy and a gorgeous big outside area to enjoy the sunny days.

We visited yesterday for lunch, lovely food, relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. Historic building with resident spooks, surrounded by greenery outside and lots of seating. It isn’t just a pub, it’s got its own energy. Love this place. We will be back soon.

Really love this place. Early evening is a lovely time to go. Good selection of beers. You can fill in a ticket for every pint you buy. And there is a draw at 7pm. You can win more beer or money. Great idea.

Beer was absolutely spot on and the staff really polite and efficient , plenty of room and screens for football good pub.

I like this pub, been in a few times for a quiet drink, not had food yet but I imagine it's good food. The atmosphere is lovely, and close to home.
