“Derek Climpson practises Traditional Acupuncture and also the Alexander Technique. He has a BSc Hons Degree in Acupuncture and is a member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC). He studied at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine, Reading, and uses both Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and 5 Elements styles of acupuncture at clinics in Brentwood, Chelmsford, and Leigh on Sea. He is a recommended Acupuncturist with the Herts and Essex Fertility Centre and has represented the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) at The Fertility Show, Olympia. Me and my partner had been trying to conceive for many months and had been told that IVF was our only route due to myself having low morphology. I wanted to explore acupuncture as I had seen multiple studies on its impact on sperm health. After 5 months I’m happy to say that my partner is now 14 weeks pregnant and without the need for IVF. Can’t thank Elaine enough, not only for the acupuncture but for the advice and guidance along the way.

I have had regular appointments for years. A dodgy back was the initial reason. Derek has taught me to stand, sit, walk and move in a way that has meant I no longer have any back problems. I now go to him every 6 weeks or so and that keeps me on track. Definitely recommend.

I had weakness and shoulder pain for over a year and a half. Physio didn't help much, I had an mri on my shoulder and they couldn't find anything. I went to an osteopath that identified that it actually was a pinched nerve in my neck. As they were limited with what they could do I sort acupuncture as I know that deals with nerves. I found Olivia just up the road to me. After just a few sessions I've had a vast improvement. Olivia explained exactly what as going on and was very knowledgeable and also empathic and understanding. She was very kind as I am afraid of needles but that was worth the outcome by far. I will be going back for other treatments and would definitely recommend Olivia and her services.

Olivia helped my journey to becoming pregnant. I contacted Olivia just before my first round of IVF and unfortunately that ended in a chemical pregnancy. Olivia and I then made a plan to prepare my body in advance of round 2 as I didn't leave time to prepare my body before round 1. I had weekly specialised acupuncture sessions and the 2nd round of IVF was successful and the embryo implanted. I am now due to give birth and I am thankful to Olivia in helping me in my journey. Would highly recommend those who are trying to conceive to contact Olivia and prepare your body well in advance. Thank you Olivia for all your guidance and support.

I found Dr. Guo online before COVID as my immune system was really low and I got sick easily. I knew acupuncture could help, but only if you find a good doctor. Luckily, I found Dr. Guo online and started my sessions. I had about 20 sessions with her at that time, and it significantly improved my immune system. I felt my energy levels increase and I didn't get upset as easily. Recently, I had a quite bad infection in my sinus area that lasted more than two months. I had several courses of antibiotics, but the infection kept coming back. I went back to Dr. Guo straight away and felt a lot better after the first few sessions. She also specializes in pelvic acupuncture, which requires a high level of skill and involves finding very effective acupuncture points for strengthening the pelvic floor and improve the function of the whole body. She is also a very caring, professional, and lovely lady, whom I would recommend to anyone who needs help with their health issues.
