“StArt Open Studios Carlisle is a well-known art gallery in Carlisle. The gallery began as a pop-up exhibition project by Seren Shaw in 2021. The studios are located on the first floor of a building on West Tower Street, opposite the Market Hall and between Carlisle Foodbank and the Dino Polish Shop. The gallery is home to six resident artists working in various media, and each month, a different guest artist showcases their work. They take pride in showcasing a diverse range of artwork from exceptionally talented artists. Their affordable original art is consistently diverse and vibrant, appealing to a wide range of tastes and styles. Their creative artwork encourages visitors to return to the gallery time and again.”

TULLIE HOUSE MUSEUM & ART GALLERY REVIEWS

A lovely little museum, with different areas of display, showing the history of Carlisle. From the Romans and Reivers to the fashion of Georgian Carlisle and beyond. A very interesting place with friendly and informative staff. The entrance fee lets you return for the year.

Fantastic visit for all the family. Friendly, helpful staff. Lots of interactive bits for the kids, videos to watch and excellent displays. Highly recommend.

Perfect trip to educate your kids or even your self. Lots to see and lots to do. Amazing gift shop also. Friendly staff throughout.
