“2025 Update: Simmons Bakers is an independent and family-run bakery that offers the freshest, fruitiest and spongiest baked goods. The bakery is situated in Long & Co (Dentax) Ltd. All their loaf, buns, cakes and sandwiches are prepared and served by their local people. All their staff joined as 16-year-olds and have now become senior staff. Simmons Bakers uses fresh French flour and Belgian butter in their croissants. Their rolls are blended with two varieties of flour. They employ 400 local people, from dough makers to cake decorators. They offer collections from Tuesday to Saturday only excluding bank holidays.”
