Property is clean and tidy. Rooms are spotless clean and tidy with beautiful fresh deco . Staff are very friendly and always on hand if needed. Fresh towels on request. Breakfast are good too. Would recommend staying here.

Lovely b&b in a great location. Key safe easy to use and access. My room was cozy and very clean and the en suite was immaculate. Lovely fluffy towels and clean bed. The breakfast was amazing will certainly be coming back when I visit family again. Thanks Karen & staff for a pleasant stay.

Staff amazing and always very helpful. Accommodation very clean and comfortable. Plenty of free onsite parking. Breakfast always good quality produce and very nice breakfast room too. Look forward to my next visit.

ABBEYFIELD LODGE GUEST HOUSE REVIEWS

As long as you realise this is b&b only (no bar, no other meals) this is an excellent place to stay. Really large, comfortable rooms, well maintained and very clean. The best shower I have had in 2 weeks of touring around the NE of England! I would describe the location as a little unusual, but not inconvenient. They are shops and a pub within easy walking distance.

Following our recent stay for a week, we would like to say a big thank you. Excellent room, fantastic breakfast, fabulous, friendly and helpful staff. We are looking forward to going back.

Lovely B & B in a quiet location. Rooms spacious and comfortable. Would highly recommend. Our second visit and we would stay there again.

A lovely hotel with only half a dozen rooms but lovely decorated and very clean. Good mattress and nice breakfast. It is above a pub so it can get loud but that does not detract from the location. Free parking and wifi and a lovely host couple that make you feel part of the family in 5 minutes. If I am ever back in the area this place is a must! Update: I forgot something in my room and Andy the owner offered to mail it through to me. That is service well above anything you see in a large chain. Thank you!

Apart from the fact that it doesn't serve evening meals, it's hard to find fault with this place. Superb from start to finish. Warm welcome, gorgeous rooms and brilliant breakfast. It's the extra little touches that makes it so special. Like a welcome pack with crisps, chocolate and biscuits in your room, and DVDs and sweets on the landing, all designed to make your stay even better. Whenever I'm in this area, I will always see if this is available. 5 out of 5!
