Wonderful park and grounds, the playground is great - especially for slightly older kids with great climbing and slides. Great skate park - accessible for all ranges and the kids can always get out! Good picnic benches - we spend a few hours on one chatting and eating! Lovely walk down to the river.
It is a great place to visit. There are lots of things to see and plenty of space to social distance. The grounds, lake and play area and skate park are good for families with children.

TEES BARRAGE INTERNATIONAL WHITE WATER CENTRE REVIEWS
Excellent white water rafting experience. Bought this for my hubby's Christmas present and of course I had to buy myself one too! It took a while to get this arranged as every time we tried to book it was already full but we did get the warmest Saturday in ages so just as well. It takes 2 hours- ½ hour getting kitted out with wet suit, helmet and vest and safety talk but on the water about 1 ½hours. Prepare to get very wet as they deliberately try everything they can to get you soaked and even fall out. They do rescue you as hubby found out! Our raft of 6 had 3 men and 3 women and as usual me and Daz were oldest by about 30 years but felt we didn't embarrass ourselves. It is strenuous and think we will be aching tomorrow but well worth it.
An excellent and world-class facility for both professionals and public alike. A variety of activities including sailing, kayaking and white-water rapids. Also hosts up to International level sporting events. Well worth a visit and cycle-paths on both sides of the River Tees give easy access.
Went paddleboarding, it was so much fun, loved it. I even managed to stand up at the end, the instructor Sam was amazing. Can't wait to do it again!
