Buy a ticket for a year? Bargain! And it's worth a full day visit as there is so much to see and do. Excellent reception made us feel welcome, all the guides and characters played their part in providing an interesting, often nostalgic look back throughout the experience. The cafe was a delight, particularly as all the characters were having a cuppa at the time! Thought we were back in time. Lift available to upper floors, all exhibits explained succinctly without being patronising.

Went to butterfly world with the family after a recommendation, although the building isn't very big it is popular in the area not particularly expensive when you realise how much this family run business spend each month on new butterflies which only live between 5 - 10 days or are killed by people who don't adhere to signs asking you not to touch the butterflies or even try to squash them in their hands, plenty of different species to see and some will land on you also a koi carp pond.

We had a great time today, we especially loved the night area which had a bat flying free above us and it was great to see a lot of the nocturnal animals being quite active such as the barn owls which were beautiful. There was also a section where you could handle up to 4 animals (included in the entry price!) and learn a bit more about them. We also got a chance to feed the goats, cow, donkey and pony, and the baby lambs and baby goat were utterly adorable! We will be coming back.
