“The Cherry Pie Inn is a family-owned eatery that offers a warm welcome with traditional food and drinks. The restaurant is situated on the A541 road in the tiny hamlet of Melin-y-Wern, midway between the market towns of Mould and Denbigh. Whether you are looking for a quiet table for two or a place for a family gathering, The Cherry Pie Inn is the ideal choice. The diverse menu caters to various tastes and is complemented by a well-stocked bar and a wide selection of fine wines. This fully licensed inn promises satisfaction for all its visitors. The Cherry Pie Inn has two dining rooms: four tables for 11 people and six tables for 16. The bar area has 7 tables, but can hold 24 people for a private function. Outdoor seating is also available.

2025 Update: The Cherry Pie is located on the edge of the Clwydian Hills, an official Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and close to the Offa’s Dyke long-distance footpath. For larger events, they can accommodate up to 60 people across the Wine Bar and their two restaurant dining rooms.”

GLASFRYN REVIEWS

This is a lovely place to go for a meal, or even just a drink. With a comfortable, stylish feel indoors, and lots of space and seating outdoors, with fabulous views - it is a great place to unwind. We have never had a bad meal here, and have eaten here many times. From Sunday Roasts, to Steak Burgers and various unique dishes, the Glasfryn never disappoints. There is a good selection of wines and ales, and it is dog friendly too!!! Update: Went again last night. Again delicious food with some new dishes on the menu.....I had the Schnitzel which was fabulous. I had two different ales and they were spot on too. The others had the Feathered Beef and the Goat's Cheese Salad, which they said were amazing......especially the Goat's Cheese!!!

A lovely place to spend a sunny afternoon, lots of tables outside in the garden. The food was delicious and the drinks were great, a nice calm family atmosphere too. Staff were very friendly and helpful, we really enjoyed our time here :)

Such a good atmosphere with excellent service. All of our food was high quality. I had lamb which came with minted new potatoes and perfectly cooked vegetables. The wine was really delicious.

We were visiting the area & stumbled upon this pub. Staff were so friendly, kitchen didn’t open till 5pm so we grabbed our drinks & found a table. We both ordered the fish & chips….wow! Probably the best we’ve had home made chips, fresh fish & amazingly light batter. The lady that served us couldn’t do enough, made sure we had everything we needed & even asked if we would like more drinks . 10:10 for food & service Thank you Kim & mark.

Had delicious Sunday Roast for birthday celebrations. Reasonable price. Good beer. Friendly staff. Lovely old fashioned pub. What more could you ask?

We visit virtually every week and can honestly say we are never disappointed. Everything about this place is just fantastic. We always look forward to visiting.

Had an amazing lunch here for my birthday! My family all said the food was delicious and me and my husband loved ours! We opted for fish pie and lasange amd both were homemade and sooo tasty! Really lovely decor and a lovely atmosphere. The staff made a lot of effort to wish me happy birthday!

The usual excellent food, friendly service and great value for money. Well worth the journey. One of our group had a food allergy and his meal was specially prepared to accommodate his need rather than a restricted choice from the menu.

Absolute gem of a place, couldn't fault it - perfect food, great hosting and wonderful ambience. Will definitely be back, in fact, have already booked to do exactly that !
