THE CONTINENTAL REVIEWS
I didn't eat or drink here but the service person who served me a glass of water was very polite and helpful. The open area at the back of the pub appeared to be clean and well maintained on my visit. Together with well-behaved clientele, the general atmosphere was calm and relaxed. I was there for a music event featuring a Cuban band, based in the Northwest. While the flooring isn't really to a dancefloor standard, it's level and undamaged, making it adequate. Similarly, considering how warm it was, ventilation was adequate as were the acoustics. There seem to be plenty of other musical events on at the venue, throughout the year and I'd be happy to return for one at future date.
The New Continental is in my opinion definitely nr 1 pub in Preston. They're always very welcoming and it's cosy atmosphere with good vibes. Place is quite spacious inside, outside it's massive garden and although car parking is limited but You can still find space in surrounding area to park Your car. They're dog friendly so is always fun to watch pupils running around. Carrying on with this reviews I can't mention good selections of beers from local breweries and spirits. Also food it's really tasty and You can't go wrong with pub classics like bangers and mash. Main thing of this pub also it's friendliness of the staff - they're always happy to let U sample new lagers or advise with the food menu choice. Another and the last thing to mention is their events which always brings good memories for example Cuban night. I can recommend this place to anyone anytime :)
Never fails to impress, today we had their Sunday roast beef dinner, craft beer to enjoy too. The New Continental is our favourite make to place, not your usual pub menu ... excellent Vegetarian options: Menu has a good vegetarian selection. The whole menu is not the usual pub menu Parking: Parking is to side, walk through to conservatory entrance Kid-friendliness: Family tables and good menu Wheelchair accessibility: A ramp from the beer garden into restaurant

Here for my wife's birthday treat as its more expensive(to us)than we normally pay...however the experience was worth it. From the champagne and canapés to begin with thru to the coffee at the end...5 stars all round. Will go again.
Could not fault... Excellent food, very competitively priced for the quality. Would definitely recommend.
Great evening. I loved everything about it, the food was amazing, the hostesses were amazing, and we will definitely be returning

WALLED GARDEN RESTAURANT REVIEWS
Have been here twice for afternoon tea. The first one (in December) was lovely, but unfortunately spoilt by finding out on the day we couldn't stay longer than an hour due to needing to prepare the restaurant for their Christmas parties. This was not explained to us when we booked. To be fair to them after we complained they got in touch straight away and offered us a complimentary afternoon tea. Our second visit was even better. A lovely selection of cakes and sandwiches, plenty of tea in a lovely setting. We will definitely go back.
Staff lovely with good attitude to patrons and each other. Plenty of customer service and interaction. Limited menu but well presented fresh food. Shame there is no tomato juice! LOL. Starters came out quickly and mains not long after table clearance. Fish was cooked to perfection with light crisp batter. Mushrooms had just the right amount of cream and garlic.
Only photos I got of our fantastic wedding breakfast taster. Lovely food, great atmosphere and beautiful setting. Our waitress was lovely, very helpful and kind. Perfect.
