TOBY CARVERY BATHGATE FARM REVIEWS

As an American tourist in Scotland, I had never heard of Toby Carvery, but I am no stranger to decently priced buffet food. What sets this place apart from other restaurants is the staff. They are friendly and considerate. Linzi in particular went out of her way to assist my wife, who is allergic to gluten, in selecting safe foods for her to eat, and to help her feel like she wasn’t an inconvenience. This might seem like an odd thing to say, but I promise you it’s a huge deal, so thank you Linzi. Now, I did find the food a little bland for my liking, but it was hot and filling, and carving staff never made any of us in my tour group of 32 feel like we weren’t just as important as the family of 4 who visit once a week. It was a fun meal experience and I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Place has been renovated recently and the decor and food are so much better. Better choice of meats at the carvery and tastier. Was busy, but felt we could talk and could hear each other. Hadn’t been going for a while before renovations, but happy to start going again.

Rebecca seated and served us, she was the perfect balance of attentive and gave us space to eat. She was polite and friendly whilst more than happy to help if we needed anything.

10/10 would recommend We celebrated my mums 70th birthday at the Satire livingston last night. Service was impeccable. Everything ran so smoothly. We did the private dining experience and it was amazing. Danielle and the team went above and beyond to help us set up and create a beautiful relaxed environment. A class. Could do enough for us. In the evening Shannon, Barrie and the kitchen team were the same. Could not be more helpful. Would highly recommend for all things food, drinks, atmosphere and function related. Didn't even get photos of the food it was polished that quick. We all had the best time. Service was impeccable and timing and food quality was top notch. 10/10 would saltire again. Thank you everyone for helping us create a fabulous night for my mums birthday. One to be remembered. We will be back.

Would definitely eat here again next time when in Scotland the Food was Nice and as well as the Puddings were lovely Only complaint would be when my mom ordered just Mashed Potato and Steak nothing else only with gravy but it came with onions and peas that’s the only complaint I have Definitely would eat there again.

A very nice meal and the staff were great with all of us and our grandchild. The food was an excellent price and I couldn't fault that at all. The only thing was the noise as it is a very busy pub. So if you're out for a quiet meal, this is not the place, but you want very good food then this is the place.

Food was great, staff were excellent! Very accommodating to dietary requirements (dairy and gluten allergy) with a gluten free bun provided with the burger! Staff went absolutely above and beyond with their service, highly recommend!!

Visited for lunch today had a salmon fillet which was lovely . Chips under cooked and to finish of had a chocolate fudge cake which was very dry . Atmosphere was nice . Staff were okay.

Food is good and at reasonable prices. Staff are very friendly and efficient. Pleasant outdoor areas to eat and drink.
