Lee made his first visit today in response to my need for a sweep who could check why smoke was belching into my sitting room and to take whatever action was needed. He was punctual and carried out a thorough check and clean. He took the necessary time to do an excellent job.

Very professional service, great comms prior to the visit. Lee arrived on time, laid down flooring protection as required, was chatty through out and had the chimney swept and tested without any hassles and no extra charges. Lee provided a copy of the cleaning/testing certificate which another service had not done previously ! I have now booked Lee in to return at the same time each year going forward. Thanks Lee.

Had Lee out for my first sweep, was very pleasant, happy to answer questions, gave some good tips, clean and tidy. Definitely recommend and will use him again next year.

Did a great job sweeping the chimney for our wood stove, big pile of soot hoovered up, turned up on time and very friendly and knew his stuff, Would recommend to anyone.

Excellent service. The sweep that came last year didn't put the stove back together properly, so they had quite a time of it setting it to rights again. But it was all done with no grumbling and no extra charge. They left the fireplace spotless. We even exchanged dog cuddles! Would highly recommend and will definitely get them back next year(s).

Family run business. Having been let down but another stove supplier and installer several local folk recommended Thistle Chimney Services. I phoned on a weekend day hoping for a call back the next week. Within an hour Susan returned my call. Appointment was arranged for early the next week to discuss the install. Within a week Thistle had found a suitable stove for my complicated fireplace, received the stove and had a firm booking for fitting the next week. I was unable to make the date so no fault of theirs. 3 weeks later my fireplace has been adapted and the stove is installed. Susan and John kept me well informed of Marcus and Jonathan’s arrival times etc. Marcus installed the stove and further adapted the fireplace for aesthetic pleasure which was above and beyond with only the small cost of a few materials which was discussed prior to carrying out the work. Very highly recommended.

Would absolutely recommend, super friendly and professional from start to finish. Gave us some really good advices on how to reinstall an old fireplace in our house and the stove installation process was brilliant and quick! Great team!
