St Deiniol's Church is a family-oriented church and encourages you to become involved in the life and witness of their extensive worshipping community. The parish has its roots in at least 1,000 years, with records of rectors dating back to 1180. The parish church is part of the rectorial benefice of Hawarden, within the deanery of Hawarden, the archdeaconry of Wrexham, and the diocese of St Asaph. St Deiniol's Church is linked to W. E. Gladstone and his family and is recognised by Cadw as a Grade II* listed building. The church plan includes a nave with north and south aisles, a chancel, a south porch, another porch to the chancel aisle, and northeast vestries. The tower is centrally located above the easternmost bay of the nave, designed in the Perpendicular style, and features a short lead-covered spire.

2025 Update: St Deiniol's Church clock was made by Joyce and Co. of Whitchurch in 1854.
