St Lawrence's Church is one of the oldest timber-framed churches in the community. The church was established in 1531, which means it has served the community as a place for worship for over five centuries. It is a Grade II listed building, which has stained glass windows from the 16th century. St Lawrence's Church stands in one of the few open green spaces in the urban environments of Denton. The church started its initial service as a chapel, and as the population started growing, it was expanded and uplifted to church status. Over the years, the church faced two to three times of restoration. The church is a wonderful historic building which has managed to serve the community with regular religious services.

The church was designed in a Gothic Revival style architecture by Francis Goodwin. It is a Grade II listed building, that has rich historical roots that date back centuries. St Peter’s Church is set in a calm and peaceful environment, which attracts people from all over the community to attend masses, prayers, and worships. The church is a friendly and informal community where worships and prayers conducted are modern, vibrant and live. It has a three-manual organ that was built in 1831, which still is used by the church choir during prayers and other events.
