ST JAMES' CHURCH REVIEWS
This beautiful little Norman Church is well worth a visit. A blend of different ages sitting on the remains of a Roman Fort. I grew up here attending Sunday school, singing in the choir and occasionally performing as an altar boy. Lots of quirky remnants of bygone centuries. Hides some sinister burials (there are some actual skeletons) inches beneath the floorboards. The organ plays well.
Only been on the outside until the last couple of months. Lovely place, lovely people. Traditional hymns, mixed age choir, full bells, fab organist. Great vicar who does great sermons. Decent coffee. Lots of things going on in the community. Worth going.
Beautiful childhood memories of the church, the house, the garden and Lady Liddell. All very cherished and will always have a special spot in my heart. A peaceful place to unwind.

St Paul's Parish stands as one of Wokingham's most esteemed churches. It operates as an Anglican church affiliated with the Diocese of Oxford. While their worship is central to their identity, they also engage in various activities to connect with their community. St Paul's Parish is fortunate to possess a dedicated and experienced Safeguarding Team that ensures the proper care of vulnerable adults, children, and young people. The church is primarily run by volunteers, with valuable support from Community Payback workers from the Berkshire Probation Service. Over the years, St Paul's Parish has taken steps to maintain a wildlife-friendly environment in its churchyard, and this commitment remains ongoing. The church doors are open for moments of peace and reflection daily and extend a warm welcome to all visitors.

This is lovely church and peaceful grounds. The church is great place to take family and friends very welcome. Very at the church help to make you feel welcome. The Cark Park is free and it is only about 15 minutes walk from the mainly station or about 20 minutes walk from Wokingham Town centre. It is bus route to and from both Wokingham and Reading. Mean it is easy to access on train, bus, motor cycle and car. I look forward to go back to this church some time soon.
I discovered this church when I was invited to a wedding. It has an amazing light, sonority and spirit. Around, there is a little well kept cemetery. Some graves are more than a century old. Church of England is the denomination. Recommended!
