“Happy Feet Dance has been a part of the community for 17 years. Their inclusive classes ensure children of all abilities can enjoy their classes. They are a family-friendly school where everyone gets to be the star. Regular performances throughout the year and trips to Disneyland Paris ensure their students gain the professional training and experiences they need to take their dance to a career. Happy Feet Dance's dancers not only learn the wonderful art of dance, but they also gain a family while doing so. Their non-competitive approach allows them to teach children with the most fun to go with it. They fundraise all year round for their amazing costumes, and all of their shows are optional. Happy Feet Dance is open to children from 2 and a half years old, boys and girls, and all dance abilities.

“Reavley Theatre School caters to all levels, from three years old to adult learners. Sandra Reavley is the founder of Reavley Theatre School, who is a Fellow and Life Member of the International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA) and a Registered Life Member of the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD). The dance classes follow the IDTA syllabus and offer exams and progression for interested pupils. Reavley Theatre School offers exams from beginner rosettes to the most senior levels in IDTA, advanced two, and teaching qualifications. They have had a 100% success rate in all their IDTA exams throughout the 20 years they have been in operation. They have three dedicated studios, a ballet studio with maple sprung flooring, and a tap and music studio with Harlequin stage flooring, both having mirrored walls and ballet barres. Reavley Theatre School also provides adult dance classes combining fitness with fun.

2025 Update: During the Easter break, pupils can take part in a week-long ‘Glee’-style pop school, led by professional dancers, choreographers, and singers, culminating in videos and a final performance.””

Wonderful Dance School with just the right amount of relaxed atmosphere coupled with great teaching. My little girl was just three when she started and it was great to find a school that you could pay weekly as a busy family it’s great to have an activity she can do most weekends but if a weekend away or a birthday party comes up that’s cool too. She was three an a half when we got the letter about the summer show I wasn’t sure she would do it but had no expectations, I singed her up but decided it didn’t matter if she decided not to do it at any point it would be fine. Nicola is so relaxed with all the dancers and makes everyone of them feel like a prima ballerina and knows every child’s name my little girl took to he stage like a pro all thanks to the happy feet team. Thanks for letting us be part of the Happy Feet family and if you fancy doing Adult Tap on a Friday/Sat/Sun my name would be top of the list!!.

Amazing dance school. Both my girls attend the Saturday morning sessions at Gateshead leisure Centre. They look forward to them all week. All of the staff are approachable,kind,caring and you can tell they just love what they do. The pay as you go policy is fabulous especially if your children are ill or your on holiday your not penalised for this. Cannot thank Nic and all the girls here for the progression in both of my girls xx.

My daughter has been going to happy feet for years now, her confidence since joing is just blossomed and her dancing is just wow. Every show dance the do you don't think could get any better, but each year the seem to knock it out the part. All the dance teachers are incredible. Absolutley the best place to send your child in Gateshead. Such a fun and friendly atmosphere with lovely teachers and amazing choreography!! DANCEFUSE REVIEWS

My 4 year old son has been enjoying the street dance class for a few weeks now and we have nothing but great things to say. The class allows him to burn off some energy doing what he loves, work on perfecting some great moves and most importantly comes out with a huge smile on his face having had the best time with great teachers, miss Danielle, Miss Brittany and Miss Elaine who are all 'very nice ladies' in the words of my son. We cannot thank everyone enough at how his confidence has come on with dancing and in a completely safe environment. He loves nothing more than to show us his 'new moves' each week. Thank you so much!.

So If your wanting to stray from your sofa, then this is the place for you. It's welcoming, friendly and fun Elaine and Danielle are so passionate about what they do and bring so much energy to each and every class. I'M an oldie and have been coming for almost 10 years and I Luv it. Why not give it a try you won't regret it.

We went to a dance party organised by DanceFuse. It was superb and my daughter had a great time. Wide variety of activities (some but not all dance-related), excellent and enthusiastic instructors.

REAVLEY THEATRE SCHOOL REVIEWS

Holly has attended Reavleys since she was 5, they have taught her so much and massively built her confidence from being a shy little girl to a girl that can get up on stage and perform in front of huge audiences. She missed dancing more than anything else during lock down, so the online zoom lessons have been fantastic with Vicki. Maintaining her fitness and progressing every week in ballet, tap and modern jazz. Would recommend becoming part of the Reavley dance family 100%.

My son and daughter have attended Reavley Theatre School since the age of 3. They were both sad when they could not attend their dance classes at the dance studio but were pleased to be able to still continue dance with Vicki Reavley via zoom classes. These classes have been well organised and all types of dance has been on offer. It has given my children a structure and routine to their day in such a difficult time, as well as allowing them physical exercise and the chance to continue to have fun while dancing.

My daughter Grace has attended Reavley Theatre School since she was 3. During lockdown she has enjoyed Zoom classes in Ballet and Tap with Vicki. It has been great to see her smiling after a class. She loves dancing and performing with her teachers and friends and it has been a huge miss for her. We hope the school is open again soon. It's been a big part of our lives for 9 years. Highly recommend R.T.S to anyone looking for a dance school.
