“Stages School of Dance is fully accredited by the Northern Counties Dance Teachers' Association (NCDTA), affiliated with the International Dance Teachers' Association (IDTA). The dance school has been running with growing success for 41 years. Stages School of Dance provides dance classes in various styles for students of all ages and abilities. This Class 2 Listed building offers a warm, friendly environment with a reception area, shop, changing room, kitchen and eating area, three toilets, a photography studio, and three spacious dance studios with maple sprung flooring, full-length mirrors, and ballet barres. All of their teachers are CRB/DBS checked and qualified with NCDTA. They also have PPL and PRS music licenses. They promote confidence, strength, discipline, and grace through dance. Stages School of Dance nurtures their students and encourages them to take the next step, whether performing or teaching, by offering many exciting opportunities.

The school has amazing facilities, including two large dance studios, a relaxing café area with Wi-Fi, a large car park to the rear of the building, and a dancewear shop. The school is extremely spacious with mirrored walls, perfect for all types of dance lessons. Jade Harrison School Of Dance has their own onsite theatre which seats up to eighty with its own professional studio lighting, sound system, and curtains, perfect for their regular performances and theatre work.

2025 Update: Jade Harrison School of Dance is passionate about teaching the Royal Academy of Dance Ballet syllabus, with Jade as a registered RAD teacher. The school features a skilled and dedicated team of dance instructors who inspire students of all ages and skill levels. Stages is a fantastic dancing school which is totally inclusive every student is important to the teachers whether they are gifted at dancing or are if they just enjoy dance as a hobby , everyone gets a chance to shine. The shows are always a great experience in terms of building confidence and learning teamwork which are great skills for life.The school also supports its students in ventures which are not related to dancing .We have been going for 14 years so we must like it !!!.

My daughter loves every minute of her time at Stages. Professionally run by Viv and Steve who work tirelessly for the good of all their students.

Brilliant dance school..my little girl has been dancing there since she was 2 and she absolutely loves it..lovely teachers.

Absolutely fantastic dance school. My daughter has been attending over a year now and her confidence has grown so much. All the younger kids are taught by older students as well as teachers. They offer so much support and encouragement. At first it’s just to encourage creativity and physical activity then becomes more dance focused, but throughout there’s a sense that the fundamental ethos is one of respect, sharing, caring for and supporting each other. This was so evident in their amazing show at the People’s Theatre. I can’t recommend enough.

An Amazing Dance school, with brilliant, Friendly teachers who helped my child excel in her dancing, developed her confidence and style.

A lovely warm & welcoming dance school. My daughter has been very happy here. Thank you Gina & team.

Absolutely brilliant School ran with 100% professionalism at all times by Miss Jade and Linda and all the staff. My daughter loves it and is due to finish her 3rd year. Highly recommend.

Such an amazing Dance school, I started here when I was 6 and stayed for 9 years and Jade built up my confidence massively. The building itself is lovely and Jade takes every person in the class into account and gives each person the same support. I enjoyed every single week, no matter what! The shows were also so well put together and a great chance for family to get involved. I have never known people so dedicated to their jobs before. Definitely recommend!

I danced at Jade Harrison School of Dance for 9 years and it was the best experience I could have asked for. Having being a relatively late starter to dance, I thought I’d never catch up with girls my age, but Miss Jade really is the best there is and offers loads of support to bring out the best, as a dancer and as a person. The shows made possible are always amazing, and having been part of them are some of my most treasured memories. For anyone looking for a dance school, look no further.
