We were looking for a trainer for our doberman tried a couple before we found Alex Cooper and Essex dog trainer , best decision ever , our dog has come such a long way with Alex we couldn't have gotten a better trainer who really loves his work and your dog . We have boarded him with Alex for intensive numerous times and each time our dog comes back better and better and we have also learnt so much more about training ourselves as Alex explains and demonstrates it so well . If you have any concerns re training Alex Cooper at Essex dog trainer is for you dont waste your time and money with other trainers . We actually feel we have made a good friend also , thanks again Alex#Essexdogtrainer

Alex has helped us with training our GSD puppy and given us fantastic assistance in helping us to develop her into the Dog she has become. Making use of the boarding /training service has been a Godsend as it means that when we are on holiday her training continues and new skills are developed. Anyone looking for a Professional Dog Trainer to assist them in their journey with their companion should check him out. Truly a first class service.

Such a super trainer and would highly recommend him to anyone. Our spaniel had a real issue of just sitting quietly when out and about and even worse when we would want to speak to someone with screaming that sounded like he was being injured. Sounds simple enough for a dog to do this but not for ours. After just two hours with Alex he gave us the tools and knowledge to combat this. It’s very much the human who needs the training as much as the dog. The next day with my new found knowledge I managed to take my dog to the pub by the bar and be quiet!! Took some work mind but his methods worked and I’m sure with continued training, exposure and effort by us he’ll get there. We’ll certainly be seeing Alex again in a couple months for a refresher session to make sure we’re still on track. Thanks so much Alex!!

Whilst looking for help train our cockapoo which we rescued I found Penny to be very highly rated so decided to book her for a first meeting. Maggie is a very anxious and doesnt take to strange people or dogs very well and can get quite aggressive. I was exceptionally impressed with her ability to put her at ease and gained trust very quickly. Once we had discussed our issues Penny proceeded to give training ideas and a plan for us to work with. Within days she was a completely changed dog, she became very engaged in the training and has surpassed our wildest dreams. I would highly recommend Penny to anyone.

Penny is a fantastic holistic trainer! Highly recommended. We had just rescued a puppy and she gave us clear and helpful advice that we have been able to implement to great effect. Not only that, but she was flexible and adaptive to our needs and schedules, and genuinely cares about you and your dog. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and will be doing so to anyone who needs. 100% recommend!! I contacted Tim to have puppy training sessions with my 10week old working cocker spaniel to get the ball rolling and start the right way. I can’t thank him enough for all his help and advice. My puppy has been a dream and has picked up everything Tim has shown us on the session also came away with a detailed information email for us to carry on what we’ve been shown till we see him again. Cant wait for next time!.

Great training session with our 17 week working cocker, very thorough demonstration on how to praise, reward and train constructively, left us with loads of work to get our little lady off on a good path. Will definitely book Tim again for future steps in her training.
