I chose Independent Driving because of the great reviews they have. My instructor was Jason Clark and he was absolutely fantastic! From my very first lesson he was fun, open and honest with his feedback, understood exactly what I wanted out of each lesson and guided me on the areas I needed to improve on, he did this in a considerate, light manner without coming across authoritarian, it felt like I was in the car with a friend helping me out rather than an instructor. He ensured we went through lots of test routes and manoeuvres together so I was fully confident in the local roads and how to perform every manoeuvre safely, even taking me driving round Dorchester just in case I could get an earlier test date for that centre instead of Poole. Despite knowing how to drive already Jason was able to help me perfect my driving and enabled me to pass my test first time around with only 1 driver fault and I credit this to Jason’s training style. I would recommend him to anyone who is wanting to learn to driver! Don’t stop doing what you’re doing Jason!!

My instructor was Adam, and thanks to him I was able to pass first time with only 1 fault. When looking for a driving instructor quality was the most important factor. When we saw independent driving school had pretty much 5 stars across the board we knew that it would be a great option. Lessons with Adam were very relaxed and enjoyable and the his teaching was very thorough and easy to understand and any mistakes were clearly explained with a good explanation on how to correct them. would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking to start their driving journey.

Karen was absolutely fantastic during the time she helped teach me to drive. She was very kind and caring and made sure that I was always alright during our lessons whilst being calm and clear with what I needed to do. I can't recommend her enough.

I had an amazing experience learning to drive with Chris. He was knowledgeable, patient, and always reassuring. He helped me gain confidence behind the wheel which I believe is a key factor as to why I passed first time! He taught my son easily and today my boy passed his practical after a short time learning to drive. Thank you for making it seem so simple and painless. You deserve more then 5 stars!

I did automatic lessons with Chris to refresh after over 8 years of not driving. I was very nervous, but Chris was super patient the entire time, very kind if I struggled to understand something, and always made sure we got the most out of each lesson. I feel like we really used the time well, and he helped to build my confidence!
