After wearing my silk/wool dress for a wedding I noticed faint blue marks and tried a silk tie stain remover wipe which didn’t remove the stains and left water marks. I looked at reviews and chose Farthings. They managed my expectations by telling me water marks are tricky and don’t always come out, but I’m delighted to say the dress looks perfect, not a mark in sight. Speedy and friendly service too. Highly recommend.

I went to Farthings to have my mother's wedding dress from the 1970s cleaned so I can wear it at my forthcoming wedding celebrations. Despite being a vintage item with no care label, they had the knowledge to deal with this item safely and did an excellent job. The staff were both very friendly and professional, and charged a very fair price for specialist work. Highly recommend.

Took my wedding dress to Farthings to be dry cleaned after I got married and I was very happy with the service! Really friendly, helpful and I collected my dress on Saturday and they've done a great job! Would definitely recommend.

Absolute lifesaver! I got butter on my ball gown the night before the ball (long story) and I was desperate to find somewhere that could take my dress. As it couldn’t be dry cleaned and I had only a few hours, a lot of places wouldn’t take it, but Penguin did and had the whole thing stain-free and pressed with a few hours left for me to get ready! Absolutely worth the money and the extra for the express service I needed! Highly recommended

I used this place to dry clean my suit after a trip from oz for a graduation. They were polite, efficient and did an excellent job. I also utilised the wash service and dry cleaning of shirts etc really good place imho.

Have just been to pick up an item I dropped off yesterday, that had a very problematic-looking stain on it, and Lesley has clearly worked a miracle, as it's back in pristine condition! Very speedy turnaround and excellent professional care taken.
