TOMPSONS FISH & CHIP REVIEWS

Called in today for a chippy lunch. It is what it is, a chippy with a sit down bit at the back. Nothing special, but it hit the spot. We thought it a little pricey at circa 30 quid for fish n chips twice and two drinks, Just our opinion but I’ve had better for less.

Absolutely fantastic place. Fresh-as-you-like sweet and flaky haddock, with delicious dry and crispy batter. Homemade chips and mushy peas were so tasty. Even the cup of tea of from a proper tea pot was top quality. And the staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. Everywhere was spotless. This is a proper Bury gem and the best fish and chips we’ve had in Manchester. Worth the trip from Stockport.

Lovely fish, lovely staff, you can't beat this place imo, as with everything has gone up but so has cost of making it, we look forward d to what is now 3 monthly treat instead of what used to be a weekly then a monthly treat 5 stars from me.

I had lunch with my family today, 5 of us totally, we ordered 4 portions of fish and chips, 2 haddock and 2 cod, they come with chips, garden peas, curry source etc. The fishes were all fresh and fried to perfection. By the time they reached to our mouths, they were still moist, juicy and tasty. Absolutely top notch quality. One of my family members who comes from HK to visit her brother here has already patronized 4 times of this shop in 3 months time. Definitely will visit again soon.

Great serv8ce from the young lady... fabulous fish and chips. Keep it simple and done well. That's all you need to do . Went with my elderly father, the staff remembered he liked his fish lightly battered.... even if he didn't...a really classy touch that I really appreciated Fabulous.

Had a lovely meal this evening at this local lovely place (Lorde's FishnChips. Members of staff were very welcoming along with positive attitude and undivided attention, thanks to Miss Ireni, for looking after us. I would highly recommend and urge every individual to make a visit and enjoy a lovely fish "n" chips. Thank you, great Lorde's team Hey guys, enjoy.

Used to come here but I’ve just come here and found it is under new management. Amazing service and the food is top quality. Will definitely be coming here more often! The fish and chips is amazing.

Guys at Taylor's thank you so much for the kebab, it was delicious! Such a good portion as well. Best chippy! And great atmosphere.

Just been in for the first time in over a year and what a change. The fish was fresh, the batter was golden and crispy (no soggy bits), the chips were also freshly cooked. The fried battered halloumi was out of this world. The staff were friendly and efficient. Definitely going back to try all the other things they had on display.
