My partner was recommended Krispies from someone in Exeter who raved about the battered chips. Read some reviews and their menu and all I can say is just wow. We placed an order via the online ordering system as the shop was heaving at 8pm on a Sunday. Worth every minute of the wait and the online ordering was a breeze. When collecting the order the staff were lovely and in terms of watching them work as a team was pretty impressive. Great smells and really well packaged in sustainable boxes. The food was sublime. I get that the draw for some is the chips but as awesome as they were they were outshine by the simply amazing fish. Beautiful; fresh and the perfectly crispy batter was only bettered by the actual taste of the fish. Not the batter, not the oil but the actual fish itself. It has to be some of the best fish and chips we’ve ever had the pleasure of eating.

Best fish and chips in Devon. Fish is so yummy and juicy, chips are really crispy and savoury. I strongly recommend here.

Always busy but order on the app and usually only a short wait. We did that recently and then got stuck in traffic so the staff called me and said they were keeping it warm for us. Great service and great chips! Burgers and fish top notch too.

So as it says THE PROPER FISH AND CHIPS, the staff was amazing, helpful and friendly. At this point if the food is as great as the staff everything would be perfect “skip to the food” So the food was absolutely amazing the fish was freshly cooked. Batter was crisp and beautiful not oily, the scampi was also freshly cooked we opted for the gourmet scampi, and was delicious. For my children I got 2 kids nuggets and chips came with pure orange juice, they absolutely devoured it. My wife had a chicken burger with bacon, cheese and lettuce, all the food was presented like a top notch chippy. The gravy, mushy peas and curry was amazing. My wife loved the homemade tartar sauce. Also accept blue light discount so for a 10% discount they also support the local RNLI emergency response team. All in all 150% happy would definitely recommend.

Came for lunch after visiting A la Ronde and it was fantastic. Wonderful staff, helpful and friendly, quick service (even refilled my water bottle), exceptional portion of freshly cooked haddock. Small store front seating area as well as inside the shop, neat and tidy.

Best fish & chips I have had in a long time. Chips were perfect, delicious cod in crispy batter and lovely homemade tartar sauce. Easy to order online, ready on time I booked and staff so friendly and welcoming Will definitely being having them again.

Revisited again this year, Aug 2024. Still the same great menu and good food, they got our order a bit wrong but they sorted it out quickly with no fuss, so still 5 stars from me, looking forward to visiting again next year 2023 Excellent value for money, we always make a point of having breakfast there when we visit Exmouth. Dog Friendly and in a great spot with brilliant views.

We got our sausage and chips here today. Lovely food but the most important thing was the young lad serving was so welcoming, polite and such a lovely manner, which isn't found in these public places very often. Well done young lad, we will definitely be coming back.

Wow!!! This fish and chips shop is so good it's nostalgic! Prices are good, staff are friendly and welcoming, fast and efficient. I ordered as a group and everything that came out was spot on. Fish is fresh, battered is delicious and the chips are perfect. If you haven't been you're really missing out. Already can't wait to go back, thanks lads.
