“Rockfish Exmouth serves seafood in a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. The restaurant is next to the town slipway overlooking the beautiful Exe estuary. The restaurant's chefs prepare sustainably caught, local fish simply by frying, grilling, or cooking over charcoal. The restaurant rips past the front of the dining room, providing the perfect setting to enjoy freshly cooked seafood. On colder days, the deck and restaurant are heated by a log burner, creating a warm and cosy atmosphere. Rockfish Exmouth offers outdoor seating, a fireplace and vegetarian dishes. ROCKFISH EXMOUTH REVIEWS

What a place. Perfectly located on the edge of the estuary we had an inside terrace seat, the view was stunning. Our waitress Sophie was brilliant, writing the catch of the day options on the brilliant paper table cloth, with descriptions of the various seafood and their character. I am a seafood addict, preferring fish and crustacean to meat so this was an absolute delight. Prawns to start were covered in a delicate crisp, and perfectly cooked thin batter, the accompanying sweet/sour sauce not thick like the jars, sickly sweet and gooey. This was better balanced and not too sweet, served in a cute wooden ‘boat’. The mains, John Dory for me, with endless chips and a serving of Samphire, and a some garlic aioli on the side everything was perfectly cooked, damn delicious. To finish a perfect Lemon Tart with an accompanying Lemon Sorbet, the perfect end to a perfect meal. Highly recommended and definitely worth a detour if fish is your thing.

Came here with my wife today for our 8year anniversary meal. The food was delicious, my wife had scallops to start, I had tempura veg, we both had full lobster for main, shared a brownie for desert and the drinks were lovely too. Want to say an extra special thanks to Emma who was our server today, she goes absolutely above and beyond, is extremely knowledgeable about your dishes and you could tell she is passionate about her service and job. Thanks again.

The freshest fish from the daily catch is highlighted on the menu by the attentive staff at this restaurant right on the water. The food was excellent and the decor is also attractive. There is an indoor terrace for when it is windy and cold as well as the outdoor terrace, but even the indoor seating has nice views through to the water.

SAVEUR REVIEWS

Our family's first visit to Saveur. And certainly not our last! The atmosphere and ambience was very relaxing, the service first-class and and the lunchtime offers were excellent value. The starters (creedy carver duck and Asian cured salmon) were the perfect appetisers to get our tastebuds tingling, our main course ('Catch of the Day' - Hake with brown shrimp and samphire nut brown butter) was simply superb, and the dessert (local honey parfait) reigned supreme. Having a gluten intolerance, I was personally informed of all the options available to me (many more than I'd expected), even adapting dishes to suit my needs. The whole experience was flawless from start to finish and certainly worth every penny. Thank you to all the team for making our visit so enjoyable...we are already planning our next one.

Really excellent food, all the choices seemed to offer something different and enticing and, so most importantly, I presentation and taste matched. The fish was exceptional and possibly the best sticky toffee pudding I have ever tasted and I have tasted a few! We would highly recommend as it is a real treat and we are already planning to come back. Thank you a real gem

This was our first visit to Saveur, hopefully it won't be our last. We will most certainly eat there again when we next visit Exmouth. As our star rating suggests, Saveur is a top notch restaurant to eat. The owner couldn't' have been more helpful in accommodating my wife in her wheelchair. The food is superb, fresh tasty seasonal produce. Thank you.

Blessed with the most perfect weather for a truly amazing first time visit, the boat transfer courtesy of Puffin Water Taxis, was smooth and very enjoyable. The restaurant staff greeting was welcoming and service run like a well oiled machine. There are menu options for everyone, but we were here for the love of the sea! Everything was perfectly cooked, presented beautifully and tasted delicious, we enjoyed oysters, scallops and fish (and the truffle fries were dangerously addictive!). The setting is simply stunning, with beautiful views from every aspect of the restaurant. Thank you to all @River Exe Cafe for a truly memorable experience.

Booked a year in advance for a weekend lunch booking and it was worth it! The puffin taxi was great we were a table of 8 and had the taxi to our selves. You have a 2 hour slot which for the 8 of us felt a bit rushed but it didn't detract for the overall experience. Food was delicious everyone loves the starters and mains. Staff were friendly also. Will definitely be back again.

Our 2nd visit and we definitely will be booking more! Great location, great food and great atmosphere, what more could you ask for!! The 5 star reviews are completely deserved, and if you can get a booking (demand is high!), I utterly recommend it.
