“2025 Update: Sand Bay Fish & Chips and The Cosy Cafe is a family-run, beachside, licensed cafe and takeaway. The restaurant is open daily, serving breakfast until noon. Sand Bay Fish & Chips and The Cosy Cafe offers a menu featuring freshly cooked fish and chips, burgers, pizzas, pies, salads, fresh crab sandwiches, toasties, and paninis, along with delicious cakes and ice creams. They also provide a wide range of fresh ground coffees and teas. The Cosy Cafe has a refreshing coastal ambience, with seating for 20 to 25 people. You can also step outside to a sheltered area with plenty of picnic benches and additional outdoor seating to enjoy the sunshine. Dogs are welcome both inside and outside the cafe. There are parking spaces available for up to nine cars, or you can use one of three pay-and-display car parks along the coast road of Sand Bay.”

Best fish and chips I've had in ages. Busy, even on a rainy Sunday lunchtime, which is always a good sign. Very quick service. Fish was delightful, chips perfectly cooked. Special shout out to the curry sauce, that was unusually excellent.

Scrumdiddlyumptious!! Thoroughly enjoyed my lunch here at Papa's. We chose the haddock and chips. Coffee tasted great and was served hot, always a win for me. Delicious food, friendly staff, pleasant atmosphere, and clean environment. An easy five stars from me. I am looking forward to visiting again soon.

It was simply outstanding. The fish was perfectly cooked – crispy on the outside, tender and flaky on the inside. The chips were golden and chunky, just as they should be. But the true star of the meal was the curry sauce. I've had my fair share of curry sauces over the years, but Papas' is by far the best I've ever tasted. It was rich, flavorful, and the perfect complement to the fish and chips.

A fantastic venue and so proud to be supporting them with having a life-saving defibrillator and Bleed Kit. Just had Fish and Chips and the best we have ever had! Thank you so much Emily & Craig and all the team.

Called in on a bike ride to weston super mare, the fish and chips were first class, and a great cup of tea too. Great little place to call in if you're in the area and looking for some good food.

Thank you for our delicious chips this afternoon. Friendly staff, very clean and comfortable coffee shop. Great for a Sunday wonder. We look forward to returning.

The fish and chips were excellent. I had gluten free and my husband had ordinary. Cooked to order but still quick and friendly service. Good value for money. We will certainly come again. Very convenient to be able to sit inside and eat.

The best gluten free fish and chips I've had in years. Cooked in a separate fryer thats in a different part of the kitchen. Even had gf curry sauce Super crispy batter. Lush! And really friendly great customer service.

This Fish and Chip shop is excellent. Great food and fabulous service. The GF option was great, and it’s really nice to see that it is offered as part of the menu, and good sized portions. We will absolutely come here again.
