Very busy at noon, fish and chips excellent for portion size and taste. Many pre-orders slowed the walk-ins. Always like to partake when in the area! Service always friendly. Tiny parking lot next door, but have always found a space.

Nice traditional proper English Fish and chips. And the only one in the area. Doesn't disappoint if you want a real proper English Fish and chips which is why I go there a lot.

Our favourite Chippy was closed so we went to Captain Cod and I can honestly say this Chippy is well worth a visit the shop is spotlessly clean the staff were very friendly and respectful and the food is also of a very top grade and though we will be returning back to our other Chippy the Captain Cod is a very close second best we will be calling back to this Chippy again with the knowledge that we will be served excellent service and of course excellent food. - Peter K

On our trip to Manchester, we looked forward to having property English fish and chips. Our friends to us to Neil's Friery, and they didn't disappoint!! It was amazing! Real, fresh cut potatoes make the best chips! The fish was fresh, and the batter was light and tasty. We ended up going back again the next week for more! The mushy peas were excellent, and we tried the Irish curry the second time we went. So good!! They asked us where we were from, and when we said Canada, they asked us how are fish and chips were. We explained how it was and what sides came with it. Very different but still good. Nothing like England, though! Definitely try this place if you ever get to Manchester.

This chippy is a personal favourite of mine and my family’s, as always the food is on point. The chicken breast are really nice and go lovely with a bit of spicy curry and rice. Everything is always so fresh. This is definitely the best chippy by far.

Living in Salford for 3 years and it was the first time we tried this local restaurant. Fish and chips were delicious, good portion and reasonably priced, which was the best in the area. Coffee was good and so did the full breakfast. Servers were nice too. Highly recommended.

Went mid afternoon we had the Fish special, which was fish & chips, 2 slices bread, choice of side and a drink. Absolutely delicious, reasonable value and friendly service. I has the Irish Curry sauce side and my friend had the English curry Sauce. Portion size was good, lovely fresh hand cut chips and the fish was perfect with light crispy batter and beautifully flaked fish. 10/10.

Proper good chippy, great to take away great to eat in. Massive menu excellent food. Fish is always freshly cooked not in a warmer, massive flakes chunks, irish curry(gravy) is spot on.
