5 star send off. We opted for the unattended funeral for dear Auntie Pip which was not as it seems.We were helped every step by Mark. We held the service ourselves with Andy's help in the Eastern Chapel on the premises. He sourced correct Hymns & projected 15 or so of our chosen photos on a pause in proceedings.He also sourced Tunes for entrance & departure. We organised flowers & order of service programs ourselves. We were not hurried so gave all the congregation the time to lay a white rose on her coffin which included the sentiment of Thanks for having me.(which she always said)

We found Payne and Sons by chance. Being in an old cinema, a small chapel is behind the shop, comfortably seating 60 people. As a family, we spent time together with Mum's coffin and set up our visual tribute and online link. The setting is much more comfortable than the crematorium, and there was no pressure to vacate after our "celebration of life". Instead, we gathered around the coffin to share memories and those who wanted to wrote messages on the coffin before we left to assemble at the wake. I would thoroughly recommend Payne and Sons and the unique facility that they offer and for the sensitivity and advice that they gave us in the run up to Mum's funeral.

Amazing experience with Payne and sons seaside branch. The team were friendly and polite! They went the extra mile to make sure our elvis loving grandad had the perfect send off! Could not fault the team at all made a difficult situation so much more manageable just want to say a massive thank you to all the team for there hard work and for making our Elvis themed send possible! And with the team even joining in on the elvis theme to make it even more spectacular.

Elissa, Lorne, Barbara and the whole team at willows were brilliant. Mum passed suddenly and unexpectedly so we were in complete shock trying to pick a funeral directors and I'd never had to do anything like this before. We wanted an independent company and something felt right about willows so we went with them. We were so glad we did. They were brilliant. So patient with us, anticipating our needs, and nothing was too much for them. We had way more people at the funeral than expected and they sorted out everything without us even realising. We had a last minute change with the person leading the service and they sorted things compassionately and efficiently. They even thought to give us mum's ashes in a lovely bag in mum's favourite colour. And we loved the silver cars! If it's not too grim to say, I'd use them again unreservedly and have already recommended them to so many.

I can’t thank the staff at willows enough. My life had been turned completely upside down when my mum passed away when I was 10 days from having my son. I was struggling so much to even function yet they were so patient, caring and kind to me. They didn’t put any pressure on me when I was struggling to find a way to pay for their services and reassured me that mum was in safe hands. They treated my mum with respect and unlike other funeral directors, they let me pay for embalming so I could see her even though mum was a direct cremation. Most places don’t let you have the choice if you go down the direct cremation route. I found it so hard to find the words to explain at the time how grateful I am. Now I have the strength, thank you with all my heart for everything you all did for not only mum but me also. You made the worst time of my life that bit easier.

Today my father was cremated and Willows were the allocated funeral parlour. I have to say from start to finish they have been exceptional, they helped us sort everything from the moment Dad passed to today, the day of his funeral. A special thankyou to Ashley, who kept me up to date with things and rang often to check that all the information was correct and that nothing needed changing. A true genuine caring kind hearted company to work with.
