My Wife and I made our first ever visit to The Thwaites Empire Theatre after being invited by friends to watch a performance of the Stargaze Dance Academy. We have driven past this location on numerous occasions in recent years, and often thought of calling in. Well, I am so glad we finally did! This venue has everything! Bars, main concert hall that has balconies and either standing or seating set up in front of large stage. There is also a further hall downstairs. Centrally located, it is also an impressive building and the main hall is quite grand! I have attended concerts there (Stereophonics, Placebo, Paul Weller, Manic Street Preachers, Runrig, Lightening Seeds, Deacon Blue and The Dubliners to name but a few!) and the sound has been excellent. Recommended!
