“King George's Hall aims to provide the highest level of customer service to their customers with access needs. The hall's concerts and gigs range from the big names in comedy to international bands and classical seasons. The hall is at the corner of Blakey Moor and Northgate in Blackburn Town Centre. They are responsible for enabling as many people as possible to enjoy King George’s Hall performances. King George’s Hall offers a BSL interpreter for one pantomime season performance. They can provide a raised platform for patrons who pre-book. Accessible parking is available. Contact them if you are looking to book a wheelchair seat (up to 12 wheelchair users). Toilet facilities are available on every level within each auditorium.

“Blackburn Empire Theatre specialises in musicals, famous performers, and revivals in the Broadway style. Several organisations and programs have used the Desk facility to provide support, advice, and information to the community. Blackburn with Darwen Central Library computers offer free internet, email, and e-information resources. Hot drinks and snacks are available for your refreshment. Brilliant gig venue in Blackburn that somehow I have never been to before. Great acoustics and lovely architecture meld to give a great evening. Will be back again without question. Rival Sons were just brilliant here.

Had a lovely evening at king George’s hall. Daniel Martinez Flamenco company-Andalucia. What talent on the stage. Music, dancing and singing. Really stunning performance. Thank you.

Great venue. Good seating layout, nice staff. Parking nearby. We will keep an eye on their schedules - would love to come back.

BLACKBURN EMPIRE THEATRE REVIEWS

Great little theatre near Ewood Park, with 2 bars and ample parking facilities for shows. Doors open up to an hour before shows, so there is no hanging around in the street. When parking on match days, be prepared to show the stewards your show ticket (they keep the football supporters out of the theatre carpark). Hosts many good and great shows as well as music and comedy gigs. Worth supporting. We enjoyed a brilliant show of Les Miserables by the Preston Create Student Theatre group, but there are many other events happening.

Saw Shrek the Musical, it was excellent. Better than many plays I've been to. The donkey character was outstanding. Would definitely recommend. A small but pleasant theatre, the staff (who I believe are volunteers) were pleasant and helpful. Would certainly go again.

Small but atmospheric theatre run by volunteers and they do an excellent job. Went to watch niece in dance show. Good stage and acoustics. Seen a few tribute bands there. First class.

Access to literature and knowledge is the very basis of civilised society and is the complete antidote to the clickbait toktik contemporaneous and often pseudo pleasures of this world. Be influenced only by non commercial recommendations , seek out the last bastion of community in a world motivated by the commercial. Look no further than Blackburn library.

An absolute bookworm so the library is perfect for me! Really friendly staff.. up to date borrow and return system.. they also have an ebook system however they need to get more books for it.

Very nice and quiet library. All the books you could ask for!
