It was designed by architect William Slater - The main hall has a capacity of 500 people - The origins of the Town Hall lie in the early 19th century, when four Loughborough tradesmen began a movement to provide the town with a public gathering place

Mon - Sat 9:00 am - 5:00 pm Sun Closed

We have visited the Town Hall three times in the last twelve months and on those occasions we have enjoyed great views of the stage from the seats (row E seats 1&2 on this occasion previously I think we were in rows D & L). We try to use it rather than lose it. Good variety of shows we have seen - The Real Thing, Frankly Sinatra and the other night The Blues Band all very good. The evening was made complete by arriving early and having a pre show drink in the bar which is reasonably priced.

I visited the Carillon with two young children. It was very interesting and beautifully located in Queen's Park which also has plenty to see and do in. The staff were very helpful and suggested we came back a little later as the organist was playing and if you climb the tower you pass the bells and this can be too noisy for children. We decided to brave it and climbed the 133 steps up to the top. My daughter got tired and needed carrying up a lot of it. Very much an interesting place to visit.

Well laid out public library that feels light and airy, with lots of facilities, friendly, helpful staff and reasonable opening hours throughout the week. Great spaces for holding community events in a neutral location in the centre of the town (which makes it easy for folk to get to from around the rest of the town and the surrounding area).
