DELAPRÉ ABBEY REVIEWS
Fantastic place. Great for all the family. Dog friendly. With woodside and lake walks. Always something new to find in this centuries old Abbey. Battlefields and all sorts of adventures. Clearly signposted walks and fully disabled friendly. A lovely venue to explore with the added advantage of orangeries to get sustenance of all sorts.
Lots of history, very friendly volunteers and nice walks outside. All at an amazing price. Learnt so much about the Battle of Northampton during the War of the Roses with the battlefield just outside. Lots of things for kids to do as well. Also enjoyed lunch at the Orangery.
We went to a Vivaldi By Candlelight Quartet performance at Delapré Abbey. The venue was the perfect setting for a wonderful night. The staff were welcoming, helpful and made it all together a fabulous evening.

Northampton Guildhall is an exquisite Grade II star-listed building. Designed by Edward William Godwin in the Gothic Revival style, it was officially opened on 17 May 1864. The Guildhall houses a selection of paintings from the collection. The sculptor R.L. Bolton was commissioned to create 14 statues of monarchs and other notable figures, which adorn the front elevation between the windows on the first floor. In 1892, A.W. Jeffrey and Matthew Holding designed the western part of the building, featuring a frontage with 14 bays, including arcades on the ground floor and windows on the first floor and holding incorporated the coats of arms of prominent county families on the windows. The Guildhall offers a unique and memorable space filled with period features and Victorian Gothic architecture, making it one of Northampton's best-kept secrets for its valuable antique craftsmanship. Additionally, the Guildhall is an ideal venue for wedding ceremonies, providing a virtual tour option for those interested.

NORTHAMPTON GUILDHALL REVIEWS
We attended our good friends wedding here, it was such a beautiful day and we had a great experience. The building has some stunning architecture details. The main room has a real state of grandeur about it, everywhere you look is packed with wonderful décor. If you're thinking about getting married here, I would highly recommend it.
This is such a beautiful building and very well maintained both in and out. Looking around this as a possible venue for a wedding you get to see all the rooms and walk around the corridors and it is so lovely to see how much the staff genuinely love the building too. Every where is really clean and polished has such history to see.
One of my favourite places to visit in Northampton, and a photographer's dream with its Gothic architecture. I've wanted to shoot a wedding here for a long time - and yesterday was that day.

COTTESBROOKE HALL & GARDEN REVIEWS
Fantastic place, beautiful gardens and the paintings predominately horses are superb. We were escorted around the Hall by two clued up members of staff. There is a quaint cafe area with a good selection of cakes and copious amounts of tea. Cottesmore Hall is a real gem in the Northamptonshire countryside.
We visited on the last open day of the year (usually open may-sept) . Entrance is free if historic house or RHS member. The house is still lived in by the family and hence no photos allowed inside . Visit is by tour which was extremely informative. The lady new all the facts and figures A large amount of the portraits inside are horse related including some by stubbs, Fernley. There are also other pieces of art by munnings, zoffany, Ramsey and Wright of Derby. A large collection of sculptures and pottery can also be found. The gardens although small are beautiful, with hidden corners and areas abound. There is a basic cafe with the usual cakes, tea and coffee. This place is a hidden gem and is a must see in the area.
Fabulous day out but although it looked like rain was on the way, by the afternoon the sun was out, so we all really enjoyed ourselves. Only the gardens were open due to Covid; however, everything was beautifully laid out and the perfume from each area was fantastic - particularly the wisteria hanging over one of the bridges. Highly recommended.
